Take a step to speak out the truth………..

A woman stands before judge and jury, places one hand on the Bible and the other in the air, and makes a pledge. For the next few minutes, with God as her helper, she will “tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.” She is a witness. Her job is not to expand upon nor dilute the truth. Her job is to tell the truth. Leave it to the legal counsel to interpret. Leave it to the jury to resolve. Leave it to the judge to apply. But the witness, The witness speaks the truth. Let her do more or less and she taints the outcome. But let her do that - let her tell the truth- and justice has a chance. The Christian, too, is a witness. We, too, make a pledge. Like the witness in court, we are called to tell the truth. The bench may be absent and the judge unseen, but the Bible is present, the watching world is the jury, and we are the primary witnesses. We are subpoenaed by no less than Jesus himself: "You will be my witnesses" (Acts 1:8). And like witnesses in a court, we are called to testify, to tell what we have seen and heard. And we are to speak truthfully. Our task is not to whitewash nor bloat the truth, but to exactly speak out as it is. There is, however, one difference between the witness in court and the witness for Christ. The witness in court eventually steps down from the witness chair, but the witness for Christ never does. For the Christian, deception is never an option. It wasn't an option for Jesus. So, we should take a step to speak out the truth and be witnesses for Christ.

Living in the fish bowl

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord." ~ Colossians 3:23

Christians live in a fishbowl! Everyone who follows Christ is being watched at work, at school, at the marketplace, and in your glass house. You live in a fishbowl, and people are watching to see if your walk matches your talk. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus taught that our lives should be lived on a deeper level of righteousness. He deals with the motives and attitudes of the heart. We're to live as salt and light. We're to have a lifestyle that gives a positive message to a watching world.

We're to be like Daniel, whose life was scrutinized, and they could not find any dishonesty or inconsistency! That is the heart of what Jesus is saying -- honesty and truth. Christians are to live by such a high standard of integrity that a simple "yes" is binding. I was involved in a business arrangement, recently, and I asked the other person what I needed to do to finalize the deal. His response, "your word is good enough for me." Others are watching the way you live, and will only be influenced by those they trust.

People are watching you! They are watching how you dress, how you take care of your home, how you take care of your lawn, and a whole host of things you do. They're watching you at work. They watch how you treat other people. They watch you and me, to see if we are being a good example of the God we claim to serve. We're not called to a life of mediocrity; we are set apart to be exceptional! Become an ambassador of excellence for Jesus Christ!

Plans to Prosper

but your sorrow will be turned into joy

(John 16:20)

Dear Friend! Our loving God says, “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11). It is God’s desire to grant you His divine peace and make you happy (John 14:27). He has unconditional love for you and wants your soul to be prosperous always (3 John 2).

A certain sister met me in person and shared with me all her experiences. Once it so happened that suddenly both her legs were swollen. When she sought medical help, the doctor remarked, “There is fluid in your legs. It has to be sucked out by a needle”. Following this, she visited the hospital everyday for treatment. There was none to help her. She had two small children. She had to get her children ready for school, drop them at school, bring them back and also cook for them. On account of the problem in her legs she could neither stand nor walk. Somehow she dragged herself inside the house and did all the work.

Although her children wanted to help their mother they could not do anything as they were very small. Her condition became worse. One day they were watching the Jesus Calls TV program. That day while I offered prayers in that program I said, “Oh Lord, please heal those who are suffering with swelling in their legs”. She felt as if that prayer was meant only for her. When I prayed she was in her bed unable to move or lift her legs.

After the prayer the Holy Spirit descended on her and lifted her up from the bed. Realizing the change that has come into her body she tried to stand on her legs. At that moment a new strength surged into her. Immediately after that prayer she began to walk and started doing all the household work cheerfully with divine joy and peace enveloping her heart.

The Bible says, “From the west, men will fear the name of the Lord, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere his glory” (Isaiah 59:19). “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you” (Romans 16:20). Therefore, be of good cheer! The Lord shall certainly perform a miracle for you. Are you troubled by your own family members? Today the Holy Spirit shall descend upon them also. They may be your children or your spouse, whoever they may be, the Lord of peace shall descend upon them. The plan of God which He has for you is a plan of peace to prosper your soul. On this wonderful day, my friend, please place your trust on Him without any reservation.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus Christ,

You who guard and guide my ways, I come to Your throne of grace not considering my good works but In Your sheer mercy. I approach You as one having been blessed with the privilege of being able to call You “Abba Father”. I fall prostrate at Your feet on this day and ask You to cleanse me of my sins. Let my sins not be a barrier in my communion with You. May all my thoughts, words and deeds be pleasing in Your sight. Help me to receive Your favour and be protected under Your mighty wings.

In Your precious and matchless name I pray.

Amen.

Know about Psalm 23rd

A Sunday school teacher asked her children if anyone could quote the entire 23rd Psalm. A golden-haired, four-and-a-half-year-old girl was among those who raised their hands. A bit skeptical, the teacher asked if she could really quote the entire psalm. The little girl came to the front of the room, faced the class, made a perky little bow, and said, "The Lord is my shepherd, that's all I want" She bowed again and went and sat down. That may well be the greatest interpretation of the 23rd Psalm ever heard. King David, himself a former shepherd, begins this Psalm with, "The Lord is my shepherd, immediately putting himself as a sheep in the care of Jesus Christ (who is the same being as the Lord of the Old Testament-see John 1:1-3, 14 and Heb. 1:2). This analogy of Christ as a shepherd and His chosen ones as sheep, is reinforced in several scriptures, especially in John 10, John 21:15-17 and Hebrews 13:20. The shepherd is the provider and protector of his flock. The sheep are helpless without him. Similarly, human existence is a sinful, carnal experience without God in our lives (John 5:30; Rom. 8:6-11). Continuing with, "I shall not want," David indicates here that as a sheep in Christ's care, he was confident that he would lack nothing. This sentiment is repeated in Psalms 34:9-10, and clearly indicates David's understanding in regards to putting God and God's way first in his life (see Matthew 6:25-34). He goes on to write, "He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters." Both the "green pastures" and "still waters" indicate a blessed abundance, further illustrating the benefits of a God-led life. Friends that little girl's words are true, "The Lord is my shepherd, that's all I want."

AMTHE VICTORIOUS WALK

Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
(2 Timothy 3:12)

Everyone born in this world live with their own characteristic attitudes that are different one from another including one’s spiritual life. Nevertheless, whatever be the state of affairs of everyone, difficulties faced in passing a single day cannot be expressed.

Those who wallow in poverty lament, “When shall my plight change?” Some of those who are caught up in problems relating to family life say with tears, “Is there a way for my life to blossom?” When we think about such sufferings, the question that arises in our mind is that, “Why did I enter this world?’

But Paul the Apostle who was chosen by God triumphed over all afflictions in this world uttered as follows: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing” (2 Timothy 4: 7, 8).

He also writes to Timothy his son begotten in Jesus Christ who ministered with Him the following so that we too can triumph over all our problems in this world. “But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses” (1 Timothy 6:11, 12).

Leading a true Christian life is definitely difficult. Probably those who lead a worldly life with the aim of “Let us eat, drink and die,” seem to have an easy life. But those who would like to live as true servants of Christ shall certainly go through trials and temptations.

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12). Paul the Apostle has clearly explained as to how we can overcome all our struggles and walk victoriously in our life so that we can wear the crown of righteousness and live in the presence of God forever and ever more.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus Christ,

I confess that if in this life only I have hope in You, I am of all men the most pitiable. You have risen to give me the hope that in You all shall be made alive. You have promised to abide with me always until the end of ages. I praise You with all my heart, strength, mind and body. You alone are the way, the truth, the life and the resurrection. On this day, give me the grace to run the race which you have granted into my hands with all patience. Please make Your divine light shine upon me and bless me.

Amen.

Change your environment……….

Consider an oak tree. If you plant it in a pot, its growth will be limited. Once its roots fill that pot, it can grow no further. The problem is not with the tree; it is with the environment. It is stifling growth. Perhaps you have bigger things in your heart than your present environment can facilitate. That’s why God will stir you out of a comfortable situation. When you go through persecution and rejection, it’s not always because somebody has it in for you. Sometimes, that’s God’s way of directing you into his perfect will. He’s trying to get you to stretch to the next level. He knows you’re not going to go without a push, so he’ll make it uncomfortable for you to stay where you are currently. The mistake we make at times is getting negative and sour; we focus on what didn’t work out. When we do that, we inhibit the opening of new doors. There are people who have experienced rejection in their personnel relationships. They put all those years into it and now they’re hurt, dejected, going around defeated and not expecting anything good. Unfortunately, sometimes it is unavoidable just because somebody rejected you or walked out of your life and left you hurt, that doesn’t mean that you should retreat and settle where you are. That rejection did not change what God put on the inside of you. It doesn't mean that you cannot yet be happy. When one door closes, if you will keep the right attitude, God will open another door. But you have to do your part and keep pressing forward.

Are you happy?

The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love,

He will rejoice over you with singing."
(Zephaniah 3:17)

Dear Friend! The awesome, mighty, incomparable, victorious and compassionate God who has the power to save you is with you on this day. He is not just sitting down somewhere far way in heaven but He is in the midst of you and is approachable always. “The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness” (Zephaniah 3:17). He is surrounded by light (1 Timothy 6:16).

Normally no man can enter into His presence. However, our loving Lord Jesus Christ says that He can take us to the Father. Therefore, Jesus Christ says, “My dear children! Ask anything in My name and I will give it to you.” It is for this reason that whenever we make our supplications to our heavenly Father we offer it in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Through Jesus Christ one can enter into the presence of the Almighty God. “…For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people… I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty" (2 Corinthians 6: 16, 18). Definitely this is a blessed privilege.

"But this is what I commanded them, saying, 'Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people.” (Jeremiah 7:23). The Lord longs to walk and dwell with us as a mighty God to pull you out of all your troubles. What does He do? He rejoices over you with gladness. God is glad upon seeing us happy.

Therefore, for God to rejoice, He is going to bless you on this day. God dislikes seeing you weep. When my sister Angel passed away we wept. One day the Lord spoke to us through the Holy Spirit. He told, “My children! I am also crying with you. Don’t think that I am hard-hearted. If I were to explain the reason as to why I allowed this, you will not understand. At the right time you will understand it. You must understand that now I am weeping with you.” Truly, He weeps along with us when we weep.

Jesus Christ rejoiced upon seeing the overwhelming happiness on the faces of Martha and Mary even as they embraced Lazarus. He rejoiced in the banquet that ensued to celebrate the resurrection of Lazarus. This is the wonderful heart of our Lord Jesus Christ. He wants to rejoice seeing you glad. It is for this purpose that

Jesus Christ has suffered on the cross at Calvary. He has destroyed the powers of sorrows, sickness and sin.
Today when you cry out to Him, “Lord! Save me from sin, sickness and devil” He descends as a mighty God in your midst to deliver you. He rejoices over you with gladness.

Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
I confess that You are with me as a mighty warrior and rejoice when I am happy. Just as how apostle Paul stated, ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me’ help me also to place my trust in You to be strengthened always. May I be strengthened to do whatever my hand finds to do, with all my might never growing weary in doing good just as how Jesus Christ sojourned on this earth being anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for You are with Him. Grant me also the anointing of the Holy Spirit is a similar measure that I may be strengthened to do good works throughout my life. Help me to watch and pray. I trust that Your only begotten Son is the Bread of Life and He shed His blood to cleanse me of my sins. On this day, may the joy of the Lord be my strength.
In the precious name of Jesus Christ I pray.
Amen.

A Glowing Face

But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered

a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
(1 Peter 5:10)

Job was blameless and upright man who feared God and shunned evil (Job 1:1, 8). The devil obtained God’s permission to test him. Job lost all his possessions and still feared God. He said, “I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a girl” (Job 31:1).

He lived such a holy life. He firmly said, “Though He slay me, yet will I hope in Him” (Job 23:10; 13:15). We may lead a godly life seeking God but still the devil may bring darkness in our life. Even in such situations of darkness the Lord says that He shall make His face shine upon us (Numbers 6:25).

That is why He suffered greatly, offered Himself as a sacrifice for us and traversed through the path of pain, agony and temptation. It was the Lord’s will to crush Him (Isaiah 53:10). Although He was the only Son of God and bore the image of God, He went through all the sufferings on the cross just for our sake.

So it is natural for us to go through the path of sufferings in this world. But be of good cheer. The Lord who overcame this world is with us (John 16:33). The Psalmist says, “It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn Your decrees” (Psalm 119:71).

After my marriage, I lost two children one after another. The first one got aborted when it was in my womb. The second was a still born baby. Our friends and relatives who were watching the zealous life we were leading for Christ mocked at us saying, “Although you lead a godly life why God has not blessed you with a child?’ We were tormented by the question, “Why should we go through such afflictions even after leading a righteous life?”

But today it is because of those afflictions I am able to understand and console many sisters who come and tell me, “Sister, I don’t have a child, please pray for me.” Once a couple who have not been blessed with a child for 17 years came to me for prayers. I prayed with much compassion and tears for them and sent them away. The Lord heard my prayer and blessed them with twins. How true is the saying of the Psalmist that he has learnt many lessons through his afflictions.

Dear Friend! Job led a holy life. Examine if your eyes are roaming in crooked ways? Have they become a stumbling block preventing you from receiving God’s blessings? You have to tremble in the presence of God. Just as how Job placed his trust on the Lord, you too cling on to Him. Since Job suffered everything patiently he was blessed in double measure (Job 42:10).

Confess all your shortcomings to the Lord. Be firm in resisting those things that displease Him. Walk in His ways. Then he would bless you also in double measure.

Prayer

Loving Lord Jesus,

O my God, I trust in You. Let me not be ashamed; Let not my enemies triumph over me. Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day. Remember, O LORD, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; According to Your mercy remember me, For Your goodness' sake, O LORD. For Your name's sake, O LORD, Pardon my iniquity, for it is great. Turn Yourself to me, and have mercy on me, For I am desolate and afflicted. The troubles of my heart have enlarged; Bring me out of my distresses! Look on my affliction and my pain, And forgive all my sins. Keep my soul, and deliver me; Let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in You. Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for You.

In Your matchless name I pray.

Amen.

Loads turned to wings…………..

An old legend and an imaginary story relates that; long ago God had a great many burdens which He wished to have carried from one place to another on earth, so He asked the animals to lend a hand. But all of them began to make excuses for not helping: the elephant was too dignified; the lion, too proud; and so on. Finally the birds came to God and said, “If you will tie the burdens into small bundles, we’ll be glad to carry them for you. We are small but we would like to help.” So God fastened upon the back of each one a small bundle, and they all set out walking across the plain to their destination. They sang as they went, and did not seem to feel the weight of their burdens at all. Every day the burdens seemed lighter and lighter, until the loads seems to be lifting the birds, instead of the birds carrying the burdens. When they arrived at their destination, they discovered that when they removed their loads, there were wings in their place, wings which enabled them to fly to the sky and the tree tops. They had learned how to carry their burdens, and their loads had become wings to carry them nearer to God. Burdens we carry for others may become wings of the spirit, to lift us into happiness such as we have never known.

A refuge in times of trouble

The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble.

(Psalm 9:9)

Seeing the difficulties and problems of this world many a time we lament saying, “Oh I am helpless. There is none to help me.” But our Lord says, “I will not leave you as orphans” (John 14:18). “I am the helper of the fatherless” (Hosea 14:3; Psalm 10:14). He will respond to the prayer of the destitute. He will not despise their plea (Psalm 102:16). Dear Friend! The Lord shall never ignore the prayer of the destitute. You should also pray for your family members who are not yet saved. The Lord shall certainly listen to your prayer.

In order to deliver the people of Israel from their sins, Daniel turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition. At that time Gabriel, the angel of God came and touched him. He instructed him, “Daniel, I have now come to give you insight and understanding. As soon as you began to pray, an answer was given, which I have come to tell you for you are highly esteemed.
Therefore, consider the message and understand the vision” (Daniel 9:3-21). The Lord who knows your faithfulness shall certainly turn His face towards you. He who heard the prayer of Daniel shall certainly listen to your prayer also. When Jacob was confronted by afflictions, he pleaded with God with tears (Hosea 12:4). On account of that he reconciled with his brother and they lived in peace.

“I cried out to God with my voice; To God with my voice; And He gave ear to me” (Psalm 77:1). According to this Scripture verse, when you cry out to God in prayer, He shall certainly listen to you. 'Then it shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise, and an honor before all nations of the earth, who shall hear all the good that I do to them; they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and all the prosperity that I provide for it' (Jeremiah 33:9). When people see the blessings showered on you by the Lord, they would say, “Oh this house is like heaven.” The Lord who listened to Daniel, David and Jacob when they cried out to Him shall certainly hear your prayer also. He shall grant you victory. He shall turn your wailing into dancing (Psalm 30:10, 11). He shall also satisfy you with His bounty (Jeremiah 31:14).

Prayer:

Almighty God,

Give me the grace to have the privilege of being Your child and calling You “Abba Father”. Help me to confess that I am the child of the King of kings and the Lord of lords who can call upon the matchless name of Your only begotten Son Jesus Christ through Whom we are promised every spiritual blessings of heaven. May Your never ending mercy rest upon me always. Today I thank You for giving me this great privilege.

In the most precious name of Jesus I pray.

Amen.

Why doesn't God answer………?

The young man had lost his job and didn't know which way to turn. So he went to see the old preacher. Pacing about the preacher's study, the young man ranted about his problem. Finally he clenched his fist and shouted, "I have begged God to say something to help me. Tell me, Preacher, why doesn't God answer?" The old preacher, who sat across the room, spoke something in reply -- something so hushed it was indistinguishable. The young man stepped across the room. "What did you say?" he asked. The preacher repeated himself, but again in a tone as soft as a whisper. So the young man moved closer until he was leaning on the preacher's chair. "Sorry," he said. "I still didn't hear you." With their heads bent together, the old preacher spoke once more. "God sometimes whispers," he said, "so we will move closer to hear Him." This time the young man heard and he understood. We all want God's voice to thunder through the air with the answer to our problem. But God's is the still, small voice. . . The gentle whisper, Perhaps there's a reason. Nothing draws human focus quite like a whisper. God's whisper means I must stop my ranting and move close to Him, until my head is bent together with His. And then, as I listen, I will find my answer. Better still, I find myself closer to God

Lord's mercy

Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.

(Lamentations 3:22)

When we are confronted by trials, temptations and worries in this world, we become so restless. However, it is the Lord’s desire to cover us with His divine mercy even in that situation. His compassions never fail. They are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22, 23). So when you get up early in the morning and plead with Him for His grace, He shall crown you with His grace and mercy. It is recorded in the Bible, “The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love” (Exodus 34:6, Nehemiah 9:17, Psalm 86:15, 103:8, 111:4, 145:8).

David who was so close to the Lord cried out to Him saying, “Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your unfailing love; according to Your great compassion blot out my transgression. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin” (Psalm 51:1, 2). David lived a life pleasing God. He was a prayer warrior who prayed to God in the morning, noon, evening and in the night. He had a close relationship with the Lord (Psalm 55:17; 63:1, 6,). He was a man after God’s own heart (Acts 13:22).

Even king David had to face a temptation. “… the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy” (John 10:10). According to these Scripture verses the devil was planning to destroy David. One evening David instead of praying strolled on the terrace of his palace. It was then he gave room for devil and indulged in adultery. Then he cried out to God saying, “Lord have mercy on me. Create in me a clean heart.” Even in that situation the Lord showed grace and mercy towards him. That is why he joyfully declared, “God’s mercy is great” (2 Samuel 24:14).

Prayer:

Loving Heavenly Father,

You alone can grant me the indescribable joy in my life. I believe that the joy of the Lord alone is my strength. In Your immense grace and mercy cleanse me of all my sins and grant me the counsel that I need for this day. You are wonderful in counsel, mighty in deed and the God of peace. Help me to keep my eyes always focused on You for every need in my life.
In the matchless name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ I pray.
Amen.

How to Treat People

Romans 12:10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor.

A pastor came to see me one day asking, "How can I get out of my church?"
"Why do you want out?" I asked him. "What's wrong with your church?"
"I've got a bunch of losers in my church."
"Losers? I wonder if they are really losers or if they just see themselves as losers because that's how you see them."
He agreed that it was probably the latter. And he was right, because there are no losers in the kingdom of God -- none whatsoever. How can a child of God be called a loser? As important as it is for you to believe in your true identity as a child of God, it is equally important that you perceive other Christians for who they are and treat them accordingly.
I believe that the greatest determinant of how we treat people is how we perceive them. If we see people as losers, we will begin to believe that they are losers. And if we believe they are losers, we will treat them like losers and they will mirror our behavior and act like losers. But if we perceive our brothers and sisters in Christ as redeemed, righteous saints, we will treat them as saints and they will be greatly helped in behaving as saints.
When Paul led Onesimus, a runaway slave, to Christ, he sent him back to his master and told Philemon to accept him as a beloved brother (Philemon 16). We need to perceive and treat all believers, regardless of their socioeconomic strata, as beloved brothers. Peter instructed husbands to treat their wives as fellow heirs of the grace of life (1 Peter 3:7). Your spouse, regardless of his or her faults, is your spiritual equal and must be treated accordingly.
The New Testament clearly states that we are saints who sin. Any child of God who says he doesn't sin is called a liar (1 John 1:8). But we are not to focus on one another's sins. Instead we are called to perceive the Christ-like nature in each other, believe in each other as saints, and build each other up.

Prayer: Thank You, Lord, that love covers a multitude of sins. Help me to be loving and accepting of others today instead of critical.

Helping a Man in a Hole

A man was walking along and fell into such a deep hole that he could not get out. So he began to shout very loud for help. A learned professor came along and found him. He looked down into the hole and began to scold him: "How could you be so careless as to fall down there? You should be more careful. If you ever get out again, watch your step." And with that he walked away. Then a holy man came along. He looked down into the hole and told the man, "I'll reach down as far as I can and you reach up as far as you can. If I can grab your hand, I'll pull you out." But it did not work: the hole was too deep. So the holy man said he was sorry, and left the trapped man to his fate. Then Christ came along. He saw the man's problem, and without asking him any questions, he jumped down into the hole. Then he let the man climb up onto his shoulders, and even onto his outstretched arms. And the man got out.

This is known as being personally involved. A Christian gives his life for another.
