Behind the scene!

Daniel 10:12 “Then he said to me, "Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.”

From the very first day Daniel prayed, his prayers were heard and an angel was sent. BUT this is one of those rare times God pulls back the curtain and lets us see what’s happening behind the scenes. Many of us are wondering, “what’s up, is God hearing my prayers?” Let me answer you today, He not only hears but is also at work! An angel is sent from the throne of God to answer our prayers. Isn’t that exciting?

George Mueller was known for his powerful prayer. In the course of his ministry to the orphans of England, he never asked for financial assistance from men - only God... and he constantly received what was needed to the penny. George Muller also taught his orphanage children to pray for their needs.

Dear friends, we need to pull up our socks and start doing some hard prayer. Many times, people give up because they don’t feel like praying. Do we give up on eating just because we don’t feel like eating, don’t we eat something just to get energy? Likewise, when you don’t feel like praying that is when you need to defy the evil forces and get down on your knees. Pray at any cost! Feelings and mood does not matter, get serious with God. Let Him know that He is the source of all blessings! Do you have problems at home and at work? Is there a medical report that is terrifying you? Are you worried about your children? Is there a financial need? Are you without a job? Prayer is the answer!

R.A. Torrey says, “There is a faith that goes beyond expectation, that believes that the prayer is heard and the promise granted.”

The Call of the Barnyard

Flocks of wild ducks were flying in formation, heading south for the winter. They formed a beautiful V in the sky, and were admired by everyone who saw them from below. One day, Wally, one of the wild ducks in the formation, spotted something on the ground that caught his eye. It was a barnyard with a flock of tame ducks that lived on the farm. They were waddling around on the ground, quacking merrily and eating corn that was thrown on the ground for them every day. Wally liked what he saw. "It sure would be nice to have some of that corn," he thought to himself. "And all this flying is very tiring. I'd like to just waddle around for a while." So after thinking it over a while, Wally left the formation of wild ducks, made a sharp dive to the left, and headed for the barnyard. He landed among the tame ducks, and began to waddle around and quack merrily. He also started eating corn. The formation of wild ducks continued their journey south, but Wally didn't care. "I'll rejoin them when they come back north in a few months," he said to himself. Several months went by and sure enough, Wally looked up and spotted the flock of wild ducks in formation, heading north. They looked beautiful up there. And Wally was tired of the barnyard. It was muddy and everywhere he waddled, nothing but duck doo. "It's time to leave," said Wally. So Wally flapped his wings furiously and tried to get airborne. But he had gained some weight from all his corn-eating, and he hadn't exercised his wings much either. He finally got off the ground, but he was flying too low and slammed into the side of the barn. He fell to the ground with a thud and said to himself, "Oh, well, I'll just wait until they fly south in a few months. Then I'll rejoin them and become a wild duck again." But when the flock flew overhead once more, wally again tried to lift himself out of the barnyard. He simply didn't have the strength. Every winter and every spring, he saw his wild duck friends flying overhead, and they would call out to him.But his attempts to leave were all in vain. Eventually Wally no longer paid any attention to the wild ducks flying overhead. He hardly even noticed them. He had, after all, become a barnyard duck. Sometimes we get tired of being wild ducks-followers of Jesus Christ. It's not always easy to be obedient to God and to discipline ourselves to hang in there for the long haul. When we are feeling that way, that's when Satan tempts us to "fall out of formation" and to join the barnyard ducks - the world. But look what happened to Wally. He thought he would just "check it out" for awhile and then leave when he wanted to. But he couldn't do it. Sin is like that. Sin is a trap, and it has a way of changing us into people we don't even want to become. Eventually we lose touch with who we really are--the sons and daughters of the Most High. We become barnyard ducks.

Promise for the Day: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

This is how we miss out something called "LIFE"...

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was the gem of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for office so he asked his wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. His wife, preoccupied in the kitchen totally forgot the matter. The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to the bottle fascinated by its color and drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child collapsed the mother hurried him to the hospital, where he died. The mother was stunned. She was terrified how to face her husband. When the distraught father came to hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just five words. The husband just said "I am with you Dear" The husband's totally unexpected reaction is a proactive behavior. The child is dead. He can never be brought back to life. There is no point in finding fault with the mother. Besides, if only he had taken time to keep the bottle away, this would not have happened. No one is to be blamed. She had also lost her only child. What she needed at that moment was consolation and sympathy from the husband. That is what he gave her. If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the world. "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step". Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness, and fears. And you will find things are actually not as difficult as you think. MORAL OF THE STORY: This story is really worth reading. ..... Sometimes we spend time in asking who is responsible or whom to blame, whether in a relationship, in a job or with the people we know. By this way we miss out something called L.I.F.E.

Received strength

Hebrews 11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

Some of us feel we are not qualified to walk in faith, but notice today's message points out to you that we "receive strength" from God to exercise our faith. Can we say Amen! Sarah "received strength to conceive!" Well, her strength to activate her faith to expect God to do a miracle through her, at such an advanced age of 90 came from God. Sometimes we feel, "it is too late", "it is getting worst", "is this possible"? The devil accuses us day and night. He likes to push us into dismay, because then we cannot be strong; but the Bible says, "be strong in the Lord" (Ephesians 6:10) Friend, we are not alone in the battle, God would give us the necessary strength to trust Him.. We all at one stage or the other, we face the 'How' test. "How am I going to do this when I've never done it before?"

A church in Boston refused to allow Dwight L. Moody to join because they said his beliefs seemed so uncertain. But this man turned out to be a great man of God and shook the world for Jesus. Amen. God would help you grow too, take heart friend!

We often look back on difficult times with a fond remembrance because we realize we grew the most there. I think faith is very similar. Perhaps we will look back on our life and realize that it was only after a time of question or doubt that we grew in faith and understanding. It motivated us to search and explore and pray and read. And we came away with an even greater faith.

Friend, it was not easy for Abraham and Sarah to trust God. Abraham received the promise for a child at the age of 75 but he had to go through many hardships, heart aches up to the age of 100, when he finally received the promise. The strength to wait, endure pain and sufferings comes from God. As we look at the example of Abraham and Sarah, we can see that it is God who does the enabling; it is God who gives the power to overcome the impossible; in each situation it is His work and His alone.

If there is sin in your life, please bring it to the Lord because sin can make you feel insecure and weak. Confess it and leave it.

ARE YOU A SINNER?

Once there was a child and mother living in a small house. Mother always wanted her son to live as a god fearing child. As he started growing up, mother noticed that her child is living in a wrong way by cheating his friends while playing, and abusing them with bad words.

There was a beautiful door which was nicely painted. The child loved that door so much. So one day the mother said to the child that whenever you do a wrong thing then I will hit a nail on the door and the child agreed.

As he was growing, he started doing sins more and more and so more nails got hit on the door. Now the door was full of nails and lost its beauty.

Each nail represented his sin. One fine day, as he saw the door he realised that he must not sin anymore in his life and went to his mom and said “Mom, from today I want to live righteous life. Promise me that You will remove all the nails which was hit on the door.” Mother told him “If you are not going to sin any more, then no more nails on a door.”

His mom started removing all the nails on the door at once but still the door looked ugly because of nail holes. The child got so upset at this as because of his own sins, the door had lost its beauty and so he left the home.

At night when he came back to home and saw the Door, it was nicely polished with beautiful colours and it got back its beauty. Now the child was so happy as the door became perfect without nails or holes and the mother was so happy for her son .

Jesus Christ was nailed and crucified for our sins on a cross 2000 years back but we people nail him everyday by our sins. Please, at least from today let us realize our own sins and avoid them to make Christ free from this pain.

DO WE MISS GOD BLESSING'S?

A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer’s showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box.

Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said, “With all your money you give me a Bible?” and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy book.

Many years passed and the young man became a very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care things.

When he arrived at his father’s house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.

He began to search his father’s important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. As he read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope taped behind the Bible.

It had a tag with the dealer’s name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words…PAID IN FULL !!

How many times do we miss God’s blessings because they are not packaged as we expected?

Who wins the Grand Prize……..?

There is a story of a competition held in heaven. God offered a grand prize for the angel who collected the most beautiful object in the universe. The angels searched everywhere and returned with several beautiful articles such as flowers, feathers, butterflies, coral fishes and dewdrops. God was not fully satisfied with these collections. Finally, an angel returned with a small bottle containing the tears of a repenting sinner. This angel was given the first prize. The sacrament of penance and reconciliation is instituted in the church, so that those who approach the sacrament may obtain pardon from God's mercy for the offense committed against Him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins (and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labor’s for their conversion). "I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine respectable people who do not need to repent" {Luke 15:7}. David sings in the Psalms, "You know how troubled I am; you have kept a record of my tears. Aren't they listed in your book?" {Psalms 56:8}.

You can change the world and reach your destiny

Archibald Campbell was a nobody. He was one of the thousands of Americans living in Revolutionary War times. No TV stars will ever tell us how it was "200 years ago today" with Archibald Campbell. Archibald Campbell was a school teacher. All he did was teach the boys around Fredericksburg, Va. He tossed out ideas to them. He made his boys read and think. He challenged their imaginations. He was an insignificant school teacher that few people remember. Do you ever feel like a nobody? Only daydreams succeed for some people. Are you one of them? Greatness is destined for the very few. Earthshaking accomplishments might not be your fate. The only way your name would get into a history book is if you put it there....inside the front cover, with your address! There may be thousands of names in somebody's "Who's Who" book, but there are billions of nobodies that make a society social, a religion practical, and a life livable. Without the nobodies who live their faiths every day, work their jobs with pride and conscience, and really try to "love their neighbor as themselves," no society could survive and no great cause could prevail. The truth is that nobody is a nobody in God's eyes. Everybody is a somebody. In fact, everybody is a somebody special. God wouldn't send His Son to die for a bunch of nobodies. Neither would he entrust a mission so great to nobodies. We are all somebody special. In the church that I pastor there is a plaque that someone donated. I often read it when I think I am the "World's Greatest Nobody." The familiar quotation reads: "I am only one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. What I can do I ought to do and what I ought to do, by the grace of God, I will do." If all so-called nobodies could do this, we'd all feel like the somebodies we really are. Yes, Archibald Campbell was a nobody. But his life was not wasted. No one remembers Archibald Campbell, but no one will forget three of his students....

Have a Good Opinion of Yourself………..

The opinion you have of yourself is the most important opinion that you have. Too many people go around feeling wrong on the inside not realizing that how they feel about themselves is affecting what is perceived by others around them, and in return, affecting their relationships, their opportunities and overall life. But God wants you to have a different opinion of yourself. You are created in the image of God and are fearfully and wonderfully made. You may not feel worthy at times, but He has made you worthy. When you come to Christ, you are no longer a sinner living in a weak worm of the dust mentality. You are a new creation; a son, a daughter of the Most High God. You have good in you, the spirit of Almighty God dwelling in you telling you, "You are victorious and can do all things." When we go against that and have a poor opinion of ourselves, feeling inferior, intimidated, and insecure, it doesn't bring any honor to God. Instead, it's like we are criticizing His creation. So often it's easy to see the best in others, but it's important to start seeing the best in yourself. We were created to soar, and it all starts with our thinking and how we view ourselves. Don't go through life being against yourself. God wants you to feel good about who you are and take you places that you have never dreamed! It's time to get in agreement with God and dwell on your victories and the good qualities God has given you. If you want to see God open doors that no man can shut, if you want your faith to become effective, you have got to put your shoulders back, hold your head up high and start seeing yourself the way God sees you

All-by-myself!

Joshua 1:9"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

After the death of his great mentor Moses, above are the words of God to Joshua. The same God who tells Joshua, "I am with you", looks at you and says the same. I am with you! Have you ever felt like you are the only one left with no shoulder to lean on? Picture this. When you are sitting at home browsing the net for a job, how does it feel to watch others rush to work? It certainly hurts. There are those who are single and lonely. Friend, there are certain things in life that we need to endure. How long can I live 'all-by-myself' may be the cry of many, but we need to go through the path.

When Campbell G Morgan was a young Christian he used to visit several elderly ladies to read the Bible to them. When he came to the end of Matthew's Gospel, Morgan read, Lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the age, He added Isn't that a wonderful promise? One of the ladies quickly replied, "Young man that is not a promise. It's a fact."

A middle aged woman who attended one of my meetings, wept bitterly during my sermon. The Holy Spirit was dealing with her through the Word! She came to me after the meeting and confessed the sin of adultery in her life. Being an orphan without anybody to love her, she had got into this illicit relationship with a married man living abroad who comes often to visit her. I sternly warned her about her sinful life and God's wrath which would come on her. She said,  since I had no one in my life, I got entangled into this affair for love as well as monetary benefits" I told her about God's unfailing love for her and never to look for love outside God. God brought about a wonderful transformation in her life. She quit the affair and trusted God for love and her needs. She faithfully attended our meetings and one day while I was out on the road, I could hear someone shout on the top of their voice , when I turned to look, I saw her radiant face in the auto-rickshaw waving her hand vigorously at me. Oblivious to the crowd, I responded with equal zeal, it was like a mother waving out to her lost child who has found the way. I am glad I lead her to Jesus! I write this with wet eyes!

Friend, I may not have answers to all the pain that you are going through in your life, but surely I can teach you to walk through it. Having gone through the path myself, I can show you the way. "Why am I still single?, "why am I divorced?", "why am I sick and lonely?", "why don't I prosper in my job?" and "why am I always a failure?", may be some of the questions in your heart today. Instead of getting bitter, trust God unconditionally to unfold the mysteries in your life. Do not listen to the lies of satan when he says, " God does not love you anymore", but instead believe the living Word which says, "I will not forsake you nor leave you."

"I cried, I am all-by-myself

When I heard Jesus say,

Surrender yourself,

No more do I feel like in a shell

Now that I am happy and well."

god is every where

This is a story from a book written in 1875 by a man named Robert Boyd. Its called the Trials and Triumphs of Faith It put me in tears more than once. A minister tells us that he was spending several days in one of our western cities. He put up at a hotel and one morning he heard while up in his room the most wonderful whistling he had ever listened to. It seemed like the note of a bird but he thought it could not be that, for there was a perfectly regular tune kept up with much power. Though he was in the third story yet the music came gushing up in its sweet melody, and seemed to fill the whole house. He ran downstairs to get a sight of the wonderful performer looking every man that he met in the face. At last, he asked the clerk who it was that had such amazing power as a whistler. Laughing at his simplicity he pointed him to a canary bird that had been trained to perform in this way, and was valued at $150. "How was that bird trained to sing this way?" the gentleman inquired. In reply the clerk told him that during the training process the bird was nearly starved and shut up in a room that was almost dark. While it is under this severe discipline and its attention undivided a bird organ is made to play this one tune over and over again for days. Hearing nothing else, and taught by his troubles, the poor little bird takes up the tune which he performs so perfectly. Thus it is that God permits his people to be afflicted that they may learn the heavenly song. He shuts them up in the dark room of sorrow away from the tempting sights and sounds of the world that they may without distraction, listen to his voice and learn to sing the higher melodies of glory. Blessed are those who patiently wait the Lord's good time to work out their deliverance. When the song of Grace is fully learned, he brings them into a large place, sets their feet upon a rock and others learn from them the sweet song of redeeming love.

Promise for the Day: Wait on the LORD, And keep His way And He shall exalt you to inherit the Land. Ps 37:3

Do it the best way!

Daniel 1:20"And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm."

Everette Webb died at the age of 80, having received many professional commendations. He was one of the four aeronautical engineers who designed the world's first jumbo jet, the Boeing 747. Webb's daughter said," He was a problem solver with an intricate mind that could consider every possibility before making a decision. He wasn't just interested in doing things better, he wanted them done the best way."

As a school kid, I remember rummaging into the books in the library near my home to look for materials pertaining to the composition that I had to submit. I took the extra effort because I wanted my composition to be the best. I was the school topper in advanced English during my 10 th grade examination. I do not mention these achievements to brag about myself but I do want to emphasize that nothing comes without effort. God surely blesses a person who would stretch out and who would want nothing but the best. C.S. Lewis wrote, "If only the will to walk is there - God is pleased with our stumbles."

I was marveled and awe struck by the dedication of the world renowned author Jeffrey Archer. Did you know this famous man, who has the hearts of many at his feet, hand writes the drafts of his book? Living in this era of laptops, this man spends thousands of hours writing and rewriting the drafts for many years until finally he comes up with the 'final copy.' He says, "I like handwriting. You get a sense it's real, it's yours and there is no one else but just you and your brain." My, this is commitment! Friend, be it in the spiritual circle or outside, those who want the best and strive hard to get it are definitely blessed.

Young people, I want to speak with you! Spending endless hours yakking on the phone, playing those stupid video games, watching those insipid TV programs or sprawling in those plush hotel lobbies cannot take you to the TOP. It is only hard workers who can experience the ecstasy of success. Many of the young professionals do not even read the daily newspapers. Not many care to gather information about the organization before stepping into the interviewer's room. No wonder there is failure! Step out to excel!

After my encounter with Jesus, my love and desire for Him consumed all my energy and I stopped reading secular magazines but I delved deep into the depths of the Bible. Give your best time, and put in your best efforts for God and watch the blessings unfold in your life!

Atheist Couple

There was an atheist couple lived in a remote area of Texas, USA, along with their 5 years old child. The couple never told their daughter anything about God. One night when they were having their dinner, the parents fought with each other and her dad took his gun and shot her mom right in front of the child. Then, the dad shot himself. They never thought about the future of that little girl, the little girl watched it all. She was then sent to an Orphan home. There was a Christian warden working in that orphan home and she took the child to church. On the first day of Sunday school, the warden told the Sunday school teacher that the girl had never heard of Jesus, and to have patience with her. At the time of group discussion, teacher held up a picture of Jesus and said, "Does anyone know who this is?" The little girl said, "I do, that's the man who was holding me that night, when my parents died." Is it any wonder that Jesus loves the little children? When I heard this incident, it made me stop and think. Oh, to have the innocence of a small child, to see the beauty in everything around us... May be we all need to stop and look at life through the eyes of a child? Look for the beauty in people that we meet. Look for the beauty of the things that God has created. Live for the moment, and drink in the beauty of what life has to offer us. We only pass by this way once, so take time to stop and smell the roses. We are the children of God, and Jesus loves us all.

Have A Blessed Sunday..............

A Church member wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday. 'I've gone for 30 years now,' he wrote, and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all.' This started a real controversy in the 'Letters to the Editor' column, much to the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher: 'I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this. They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to church for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!' When you are DOWN to nothing.... God is UP to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible! Thank God for our physical AND our spiritual nourishment! All right, now you're done with reading, Please go to church and have a blessed Sunday.

Promise for the Day: The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne. He observes the sons of men; his eyes examine them. Psalm 11:4 (NIV

Chastening of the Almighty!

Job 5:17"Behold. Happy is the man who God corrects; therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. For he bruises, but He binds up; He wounds but His Hands make whole."

Sometimes we may have to undergo painful periods of illness, financial loss, hurts, insults, false accusations and rejections, in order for God's plan to be accomplished in our life. May be you ask, what gain would I have from pain? A deeper work is done in our heart through these periods when we are able to think, analyze and be convicted of sinful areas in our life. Our hard, rebellious heart needs severe treatment for purification. I recently read about a woman who was hospitalized for terminal illness and while she lay there in her hospital bed lonely and shattered, she remembered the way she manipulated and kept her husband to her self all her life and never allowed him to mix with his family. But not too late, God punished her for her sins and made her repent for her sins by keeping away people from her when she needed them the most. God deals with us in His own way but never to destroy us but to break our sinful areas and build our lives. Can we say Amen!

One day a man came to see me for prayers. He narrated his pathetic story of being cheated terribly by two people and now his job and life were in stake. He was sobbing and said that he would like to end his life. I consoled and prayed for him. The next day his wife came to see me and told me that her husband had been cheating her for the last six years by living with a widow with two children and refuses to leave her. This man who came to see me was rightly punished by God for cheating his wife. God is a righteous judge! What you sow is what you will reap! You cannot get away with cheating others, people would one day fall in the grave that they have dug for others.

If you had been insulting, abusing and ill treating your wife or any other members, be sure, God would bring that on you through some other sources. God would surely do it!

Before I walked into Ministry, God took me through a crash course of pain, insults, failures and loneliness. Initially I rebelled and yelled for help, not knowing that the Potter's Hand was on me; every scar has molded and shaped me as a vessel for His use. Watch out, every suffering in your life would one day turn out to be a blessing for you!

No Charge for Mother’s Love……….

A little boy came up to his mother in the kitchen one evening while she was fixing supper, and handed her a piece of paper that he had been writing on. After his Mom dried her hands on an apron, she read it, and this is what it said: For cutting the grass: $5.00, For cleaning up my room this week: $1.00, For going to the store for you: $.50, Baby-sitting my kid brother while you went shopping: $.25, Taking out the garbage: $1.00, For getting a good report card: $5.00, For cleaning up and raking the yard: $2.00, Total owed: $14.75, well, his mother looked at him standing there, and the boy could see the memories flashing through her mind. She picked up the pen, turned over the paper he'd written on, and this is what she wrote: For the nine months I carried you while you were growing inside me: No Charge, For all the nights that I've sat up with you, doctored and prayed for you: No Charge, For all the trying times, and all the tears that you've caused through the years: No Charge, For all the nights that were filled with dread, and for the worries I knew were ahead: No Charge, For the toys, food, clothes, and even wiping your nose: No Charge, Son, when you add it up, the cost of my love is: No Charge. When the boy finished reading what his mother had written, there were big tears in his eyes, and he looked straight at his mother and said, "Mom, I do love you." And then he took the pen and in great big letters he wrote: "PAID IN FULL". You will never how much your parent’s worth till you becomes a parent, be a giver not a taker, especially with your parents. There is a lot to give, besides money. IF your mom is alive and close to you give her a big kiss and ask her for forgiveness. If she is far away, call her. If she passed away, pray for her. Ephesians 6:1 says; Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right, we need to obey our parents to live long and blessed life.

Wafers made with honey!

Numbers 16: 13 "So it was that quails came up at evening and covered the camp, and in the morning the dew lay all around the camp."

Would you like to take a sneak-preview into the personal life of a woman preacher? Here we go! It was Sunday, we had taken the children to church and on our way back we picked up chicken for a special meal, being a holiday. Since I had sent my maid away for a vacation, I had a whole lot of job on my hands. No sooner did we enter our home, I received an urgent call from the elder of a local church pleading me to immediately come and preach in the morning service. I looked at the kitchen sink brimming with vessels to be washed, the chicken which was yet to be opened and my children who were waiting to wallop the chicken. Not much time to decide, though. My heart certainly went out for the church who were hungrily waiting for God's Word! I quickly set off to action on jet speed! Performing with dead lines is a way of life, but this situation was crazy; nevertheless, in about ten minutes the rice was in the cooker, the chicken in the pan and I was near the door. Don't ask me how! After giving instructions to my daughter to monitor the kitchen, I was off to the church. After a glorious service, we returned home much past lunch time; however, the children were waiting. As I watched the famished family settle themselves in the dining chairs, my heart skipped a beat! Honestly, I was scared to open the pan! Would the chicken stare daggers at me? What can one expect from ten minutes cooking? I dared to serve the food, though. Did I hear right? I heard someone say, "yummy chicken!" and another voice say, "lovely food." I did not say a word because I knew I don't deserve them. As I obeyed to serve Him, He had walked into my kitchen to help my family! Find that crazy idea? The 'yummy chicken' was an empirical evidence of God's presence in my home! No way could I turn out meat into a classy dish in ten minutes! Let us acknowledge God's Hands even in small things in our life and give Him the glory!

Let me take you back to the Old Testament period of the Bible and show you how God fed His people with heavenly bread called manna. Do you know how they tasted? There were no kitchens in the wilderness the Israelites traveled, nor did they butter the bread; yet it was yummy. The Bible says, 'the people of Israel called the bread manna. It was white like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey.' Wafers made with honey! Oh yes, God can not only add flavor to the food, but He can add favor and flavor to your life as well!

I happened to speak to a young divorced girl over phone, who sounded chirpy and happy, despite the loneliness and uncertainty in her life. She firmly trusted God for her future. Anybody listening? When we meticulously follow Him, do His will and live just for Him, He can step in, to work miracles in our life. When you get passionate for God and His work: people will take priority over things, God's will for your life will take priority over your own selfish plans, your life will take on an eternal dimension and your life will be grounded in God. God bless you!

Our God is an awesome God……..

A young man who had been raised as an atheist was training to be an Olympic diver. The only religious influence in his life came from his outspoken Christian friend. The young diver never really paid much attention to his friend's sermons, but he heard them often. One night the diver went to the indoor pool at the college he attended. The lights were all off, but as the pool had big skylights and the moon was bright, there was plenty of light to practice by. The young man climbed up to the highest diving board and as he turned his back to the pool on the edge of the board and extended his arms out, he saw his shadow on the wall. The shadow of his body was in the shape of a cross. Instead of diving, he knelt down and asked God to come into his life. As the young man stood, a maintenance man walked in and turned the lights on. The pool had been drained for repairs.

Promise for the Day: For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome… 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV

What are you WATCHING?????

Matthew 5:29 "If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.”

This scripture changed the course of my life, I understood that I serve a HOLY GOD. Leviticus 20:26 ‘And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.’ Though from a Christian family, I was never convicted that movies and TV programs (most of them) are not healthy for our life. Jesus walked into our life and changed our priorities. Let us face the fact that movies and TV serials corrupt our mind! Call me shallow or a “religious fanatic” for writing this; nevertheless I would still say that the root cause for all evil today are the cinemas and the TV programs. Movie producers and Cell phone manufacturers have the “young” in mind. Did you know the main clientele list of mobile users are from the age group of 20 to 25? Free night time usage, exchange of filthy jokes on SMS and many more features kill our youth everyday. They intend to crush the bud before it unfolds its petals. Watch out, we are heading towards destruction!! The filthy hoardings decorating our cities and the seductive advertisements shows that judgment is on its ways! We have become worse than Sodom!

Jesus called for drastic measures against sin in our life; He said, “pluck your eyes out!" This does not literally mean to pull your eyes out, what it does mean is to take action to get rid of anything that causes us to sin – even if that means suffering or taking drastic action. The television is on just over 7 hours per day in the average home (including Christian homes). The TV is a powerful medium and the window of influence used to shape our values. Most of the homes today have cable TV and satellite dishes. Almost all the mainstream movie channels are ‘soft porn’ in the late evening. Why would anyone who claims the name of Christ open their home to this type of programming? Sitting hours in front of the stupid screen and hearing actress Sridevi sharing beauty tips or gaping at the mobile van of Shah Rukh Khan as he uses a remote to unfold a cot, will take us nowhere. Such shows are vanity! The reality shows on TV are bombarding the people with pomp and luxury; such feeding is no good for the mind. No Christian should be sitting around watching trash on television and no Christian should go to the movie theatre. Those are the devil's domains and territories! What is paramount to our health and happiness is the knowledge of His Word and His presence. Try filling your homes with Christian music and praises!

Even though almost every Christian agrees that TV goes against their values, very few are willing to take a stand. Some people say that they watch TV for relaxation but eventually they get hooked on to watching disgusting serials and thereby exhaust their energy and have no time left for God at the end of the day. No wonder our homes are like battle field and children like wild horses. No wonder our students instead of winning laurels and distinctions walk out of college with huge arrears. Are your listening? Jesus said that we are to cast away anything that offends our relationship with Him.

How do we avoid being conformed to this world? By renewing our mind. We renew our mind through scripture, prayer and worship.

Friend’s, don't look down...............

Years ago, a young sailor went to sea for the first time. Soon after their departure, his ship encountered a heavy storm and the sailor was commanded to go aloft and trim the sails. About three quarters of the way up, the young sailor made the mistake of looking down. The roll of the ship combined with the tossing of the waves made for a frightening experience. The young man started to lose his balance. At that moment, an older sailor underneath him shouted, "Look up, son! Look up!" The young sailor did as he said -- he looked up and regained his balance. Similarly, when our focus is on the circumstances that we face, the waves of life, we can easily lose our balance and our direction. But when we switch our focus on to the victory that the Lord has already provided -- it is then that we will be able to maintain our stability, finish the assignments we've been given and get to the top! Friend’s, are you feeling unstable today? Let's look up! There's no reason to look anywhere else -- Look to God, He will give you victory! Psalms 98:1 Sing a new song to the Lord. He has done wonderful things. By the power of His right hand and His holy arm, He has saved his people

What is in your heart???

1 Samuel 16:7: "...The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

There are two identical jars on the table. One contained honey and another contained vinegar but both looked the same. When one is upset, it oozed out honey. When the vinegar bottle was turned over, vinegar spilled out. 'When a jar is upset, whatever is in it comes out. When the jars were upset the true contents were revealed. Remember the Bible says, 'for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.'" (Luke 6:45) and in Matthew 12:35 "A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things."

What if someone upsets you today? What would flow out? Would you reveal the "honey" of grace and patience? Or the "vinegar" of anger and criticism?

"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins" (1 Peter 4:8).How is your heart today? Is it filled with vengeance, anger, bitterness and ugliness? Remember what you have is what you can give! Sometimes people remain calm outside but there is a volcanic eruption on the inside which is bubbling with anger and resentment. Beneath that saintly outward appearance, there may be a dark, ugly spirit lurking behind! But watch out, God knows it all! Proverbs 16:2 says, "All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the LORD".

That's why God declares hatred and murder to be the same. While murder is an act of sin committed physically, hatred is the spirit of murder that remains within us for a period of time. There are many Christian families where brothers and sisters do not talk to each other because of property issues and various other problems. God wants us to reconcile with each other if we have to get reconciled with God. Watch out friend, we have just one enemy in this world and that is the devil, we need to love everybody else.

Satan would try to spoil the unity among believers and family members. If you are involved serving Jesus, then he would definitely bring confusion. Endure and bear with one another and be ready to forgive and never give way to ego and pride. Romans chapter twelve is a beautiful chapter to meditate. Romans 12:10 says, " Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another."

If today you have been hurt or you have hurt someone, make haste to make up. Be a candle in this dark world.

Parable of the Pencil...................

The Pencil Maker took the pencil aside, just before putting him into the box.

"There are 5 things you need to know," he told the pencil, "Before I send you out into the world.

Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best pencil you can be."

One: You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in God's hand. And allow other human beings to access you for the many gifts you possess.

Two: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, by going through various problems in life, but you'll need it to become a stronger person.

Three: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.

Four: The most important part of you will always be what's on the inside.

And Five: On every surface you walk through, you must leave your mark. No matter what the situation, you must continue to do your duties.

Allow this parable on the pencil to encourage you to know that you are a special person and only you can fulfill the purpose to which you were born to accomplish.

Never allow yourself to get discouraged and think that your life is insignificant and cannot make a change.

666

Revelation 13:16 "He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666."

At 4.00 am in the morning, October, 2004, God spoke to me clearly about His Second Coming and also showed me a vision of how the people are ignorant about the fact. People are either not interested or not educated about this most important truth of His Second Coming. THIS IS TRUE!

During the 'Great tribulation period' which is the period which follows rapture, Anti-Christ will force the people who are left behind on the earth, to receive the mark '666'. Now you may think, well all I have to do is just make sure I do not get the mark. The only problem is that the mark becomes mandatory. Anyone who refuses the mark will have his or her head cut off. The choice is this: will I choose to face the anger of the Anti-Christ or will I choose to face the wrath of God? Now if you had been ready when Jesus raptured the church, this would not be an issue facing you. There are many out there who think, "this is an old story about Jesus coming back to pick up His children"; but let me warn you to either be ready for 'rapture' or face the persecutions and torture of Anti-Christ. THIS IS REAL!

We are quickly moving from a cash society to a cash less society. Aren't we? How many of you now carry debit/credit cards instead of cash? Recently we also hear about 'Mobile wallets" and slowly in the coming days the plastic cards will also fade away. All transactions would be just a 'click'. Friend, we are on our way to computer chip insertion into our bodies. It is possible to write a lot of information on you including name, credit history, medical history, and banking all on the size of a chip no bigger than a grain of rice. Did you know that a record is kept of each phone call you make? Every time you use your cellular phone, a computer writes down who you called, who called you, and how long you talked. Each time you go on the Internet, a record is made of all the sights you visit. Even though you may think no one knows what you're watching on the Internet, you are leaving a trail behind.

The moment you accept the mark of the beast, you become his for all of eternity. Later when the wrath of God comes on Anti-Christ, all the people who have received the mark also would be punished by the angels. We read this in Revelation 16:2 "So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image."

May be you ask, "what should I do?" Straighten out your life, read the portions of the Bible which talk about the Second Coming of Jesus and get ready. The book of Revelation is given for us to read, understand and obey and not ignore.

My Brother's Hands

Back in the fifteenth century, in a tiny village near Nuremberg, lived a family with eighteen children. Eighteen! In order merely to keep food on the table for this mob, the father and head of the household, a goldsmith by profession, worked almost eighteen hours a day at his trade and any other paying chore he could find in the neighborhood. Despite their seemingly hopeless condition, two of Albrecht Durer's elder children had a dream. They both wanted to pursue their talent for art, but they knew full well that their father would never be financially able to send either of them to Nuremberg to study at the Academy. After many long discussions at night in their crowded bed, the two boys finally worked out a pact. They would toss a coin. The loser would go down into the nearby mines and, with his earnings, support his brother while he attended the academy. Then, when that brother who won the toss completed his studies, in four years, he would support the other brother at the academy, either with sales of his artwork or, if necessary, also by laboring in the mines. They tossed a coin on a Sunday morning after church. Albrecht Durer won the toss and went off to Nuremberg. Albert went down into the dangerous mines and, for the next four years, financed his brother, whose work at the academy was almost an immediate sensation. Albrecht's etchings, his woodcuts, and his oils were far better than those of most of his professors, and by the time he graduated, he was beginning to earn considerable fees for his commissioned works. When the young artist returned to his village, the Durer family held a festive dinner on their lawn to celebrate Albrecht's triumphant homecoming. After a long and memorable meal, punctuated with music and laughter, Albrecht rose from his honored position at the head of the table to drink a toast to his beloved brother for the years of sacrifice that had enabled Albrecht to fulfill his ambition. His closing words were, "And now, Albert, blessed brother of mine, now it is your turn. Now you can go to Nuremberg to pursue your dream, and I will take care of you." All heads turned in eager expectation to the far end of the table where Albert sat, tears streaming down his pale face, shaking his lowered head from side to side while he sobbed and repeated, over and over, "No...no...no...no." Finally, Albert rose and wiped the tears from his cheeks. He glanced down the long table at the faces he loved, and then, holding his hands close to his right cheek, he said softly, "No, Brother. I cannot go to Nuremberg. It is too late for me. Look, look what four years in the mines have done to my hands! The bones in every finger have been smashed at least once, and lately I have been suffering from arthritis so badly in my right hand that I cannot even hold a glass to return your toast, much less make delicate lines on parchment or canvas with a pen or a brush. No, brother...for me it is too late." More than 450 years have passed. By now, Albrecht Durer's hundreds of masterful portraits, pen and silver-point sketches, watercolors, charcoals, woodcuts, and copper engravings hang in every great museum in the world, but the odds are great that you, like most people, are familiar with only one of Albrecht Durer's works. More than merely being familiar with it, you very well may have a reproduction hanging in your home or office. One day, to pay homage to Albert for all that he had sacrificed, Albrecht Durer painstakingly drew his brother's abused hands with palms together and thin fingers stretched skyward. He called his powerful drawing simply "Hands," but the entire world almost immediately opened their hearts to his great masterpiece and renamed his tribute of love "The Praying Hands." The next time you see a copy of that touching creation, take a second look. Let it be your reminder, if you still need one, that no one, no one, ever makes it alone!

Do not covet...

Exodus 20:17"You shall not covet (desire) your neighbor's house, you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor ANYTHING that is your neighbor's."

Looking for a dream job? Looking for the dream girl? Searching for a job that would pay you several dollars? Hear me out! Today every ethics and moral is thrown to the wind in order to achieve what you covet. To "Covet" is to strongly desire something that belongs to someone else. Have you seen little children covet the other one's toy. They would be on the floor kicking their legs, screaming and asking for the same toy and it would be something like this, "I want it right now". As adults we may not go on the ground and kick our legs but we surely have ways of coveting.

Listen, I have something important to share with you! Today there are thousand and one ways to get a job. Why is there such a mad rush for consultants and placement services? Why are there so many Recruitment Offices? Why are there so many fake educational certificates floating in the market? Why do the young not bat their eyelid to bribe or give false information regarding their education and experience details? Why is there so much corruption in this world? On one hand there are needy candidates who are in want of jobs but on the other hand there are greedy candidates who would like more carrots everyday. Jesus says "greed" is something we need to guard against, in Luke 12:15 He says, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions." Businessmen shamelessly grab trained employees of other organizations using subtle and devious methods. Absolutely callous and wicked! To abruptly leave a company after they have invested on you and trained you is also downright betrayal. The Bible commands us not to covet someone else's manservant, nor his maidservant. I know the whole world is running on a common code and that is, 'smartly survive". There is so much of back-stabbing and grabbing going on in this world but as children of God we have rules to follow and we cannot go by the worldly way. Got it?

I want to share here an interesting article I read somewhere: "A successful businessman and his friends were talking and laughing together and enjoying success. The businessman told of his childhood of poverty. Someone had given him a big coin. To have a coin was rare for children then, and his little sister begged to hold it. He laughed over the memory of all the chores he could get her to do for him just to get to hold the coin. He told of a day when she minded the cows all day for the privilege of holding the coin, only to have to give it up at the end of the day. All of the men laughed again at the childishness of the sister. Just then, one man not laughing, reminded the businessman that all he was doing now in labor and service was for the privilege of holding onto a few possessions. The end of the day is coming, and you will have to give them up like your little sister did."

The Mouse Trap……….

A mouse looked through a crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife opening a package; what food might it contain? He was aghast to discover that it was a mouse trap! Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning, "There is a mouse trap in the house, and there is a mouse trap in the house." The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr. Mouse, I can tell you this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me; I cannot be bothered by it." The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a mouse trap in the house." "I am so very sorry Mr. Mouse," sympathized the pig, "but there is nothing I can do about it but pray; be assured that you are in my prayers." The mouse turned to the cow, who replied, "Like wow, Mr. Mouse, a mouse trap; am I in grave danger, Duh?" So the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected to face the farmer's mouse trap alone. That very night a sound was heard throughout the house, like the sound of a mouse trap catching its prey. The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see that it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital. She returned home with a fever. Now everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient. His wife's sickness continued so that friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig. The farmer's wife did not get well, in fact, she died, and so many people came for her funeral the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide meat for all of them to eat. So the next time you hear that someone is facing a problem and think that it does not concern you, remember that when the least of us is threatened, we are all at risk.

The freedom & power of FORGIVENESS!

Luke 23:34 Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

We were having a heated debate on ‘forgiveness’ in a seminar and I vividly remember as a bold, fiery youngster many years ago bravely arguing for my stand. It was on how would you react if you were to judge a rapist, I loudly and emotionally said, “he deserves to be hanged”. I never knew about forgiveness until Jesus stepped into my life. The transformation that Jesus brings into our life is just phenomenal and break-taking.

One afternoon, a woman from our neighborhood came to see me with her fingers bandaged. She said that her drunkard husband beat her up mercilessly, dragged her out of the house, pulled her saree and then further chased her on the road. By then this lady ‘s fingers were cut and she was bleeding. This man’s thirst for blood did not stop though, he said, “now wipe the blood stains on the floor with your own hurting fingers”. She came running to me and said, “sister, because you spoke of the love of Jesus, I tolerated this man this long, but this morning I had to go to the police, please forgive me for disobeying you.” Dear friend, how would you react to this? Believe me, I silently cried with her, prayed for her and sent her home. As a teacher of the Bible, I had to guide her wisely. Every day I hear of atrocities done to women and the way they suffer. But when they walk to a servant of God and come for counseling, they walk with HOPE IN JESUS; because transformation is possible with Jesus and Jesus also gives His children the tolerance to endure pain and pray patiently for the person; because Jesus Himself prayed forgiveness for the people who tortured and tormented Him which words cannot describe.

Very often we find it difficult to pray for someone when they’ve wronged us, we like to hang on to the pain for a while, and if at all we pray, it may be after we cool off. But here Jesus prays in the heat of that moment. How could Jesus pray like that in the heat of the battle? We can receive this power through the grace of God. Hallelujah! FRIEND, WE NEED TO TELL THE WORLD THAT THERE IS HOPE FOR US THROUGH JESUS WHO WENT ON THE CROSS FOR US. We don’t have to be sad on ‘Good Friday’, but we need to meditate on the cross and be glad that we have redemption and forgiveness through His death.

The last words of Saddam Hussein were ''Down with the traitors, the Americans, the spies and the Persians.'' But the last words of our Redeemer Jesus were “forgive them”; this is the mark of the love of Jesus.

Jesus’ final words were not recorded just for popularity, but for a purpose, so that we would pray for our enemies, than holding a grudge.

GOD BLESS YOU!

A Horrified Horse

Alexander, the Great (356 – 323 BC) had a wonderful and gorgeous horse, Bucephalus, which carried Alexander through several battles to create the mighty Greek empire. There is a legend about the taming of Bucephalus as described by Plutarch, the Greek historian and biographer.

When Alexander was only twelve years old, Philoneicus, a Thessalian brought a wild horse before King Philip II of Macedon, the father of Alexander. He wanted to sell it to King Philip. But the horse was uncontrollable and unstable. No one could tame it.

Alexander observed the peculiar behaviour of the horse and noted that it was behaving abnormally as it was scared of its own shadow. Every time it saw its shadow, it got frightened and became uncontrollable. Alexander volunteered to tame it. King Philip promised to buy the horse and gift it to Alexander if he could ride it.

Alexander knew that it was shying away from its own shadow. So he stroked it gently and slowly turned its face towards the sun and led it forward, so that its shadow was behind it and it could not see its shadow. The horse became tame and Alexander easily mounted on it and rode happily. He named it Bucephalus and used it in all his conquests till its death.

Our shadow becomes visible to us only when we turn away from the source of light. The shadow grows in size as we move away from the light.

The shadow of our sins haunts us as we turn away from Jesus, the light of the world. As we move away from Him, the shadow of sin appears to grow to alarming proportions and frighten us. But if we turn towards our Saviour, our sins cannot scare us. He sacrificed His life and redeemed us from sin and the influence of Satan.

The saintly sages of ancient India used to recite the Vedic prayer:

“ASATO MA SAD GAMAYA,

THAMASO MA JYOTHIR GAMAYA,

MRITHYOR MA AMRITHAM GAMAYA.”

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 1.3.28}.

This popular prayer of Hindus in the Sanskrit language can be translated as:

“Lead us from Untruth to Truth,

Lead us from Darkness to Light

Jesus revealed to us, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” {John 14:6}.

“I am the light of the world,” He said. “Whoever follows me will have the light of life and will never walk in darkness” {John 8:12}.

“I have come into the world as light, so that everyone who believes in me should not remain in the darkness” {John 12: 46}.

St. John teaches us, “God is light and there is no darkness at all in Him” {1 John 1: 5}. Isaiah foretold His incarnation and mission, “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light. They lived in a land of shadows, but now light is shining on them” {Isaiah 9: 2}.

“The Word was the source of life, and this life brought light to mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has never put it out” {John 1:4,5}.

God said, “I, the Lord will be your eternal light; The light of my glory will shine on you” {Isaiah 60: 19}.

Let us turn towards Jesus, our eternal Light, who removes the shadow of sin from our lives.

CRACKED GLASS………….

Mr. Knight, science teacher, poured some really hot water into two glasses. One glass had a spoon in it, and the other one didn't. The one without the spoon cracked when the hot water was poured into it, but the other one was fine and remained still. Mr. Knight said the metal spoon helped absorb some of the heat and kept the glass from breaking. My friend Karen wasn't in school today- her family is having all kinds of problems. Her little brother fell down from their basement stairs .Her mother had a broken leg, and her grandma is really sick-she might be dying! I don't see how they can stand it. Well, they know the Lord and that makes a very big difference. That science experiment is a pretty good example of knowing how God helps people. The glasses can represent people's lives, and the hot water can stand for the problems that sometimes surround them. The spoon can represent the Lord; He’s the one who helps absorb trials. Without Him, I don't know how anyone stands the troubles and pains of life that come and hit us. With him, his constant love and care keeps spirit. Let’s ask God to comfort us and help ourselves leave our concerns with him and trust him through it all. Are you surrounded by problems and difficulties or do u know someone else who is? Do you wonder how he or she can bear it? Sickness of death of a loved one, loss of a job or difficulties, problems with friends or with neighborhood bullies, All these and many other things make you feel like you are going to "crack" like u simply can't stand it anymore. Give your life and your fears to God today. He cares, and he can give the courage you need.

How is your walk?

Philippians 3:17 "Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern."

Many get weary very soon and give up 'walking with God'. I want to share some important truths with you today. Walking impatiently, rashly and hastily will take us no where; we need to learn to walk faithfully, patiently and truthfully. Psalm 37:23 says, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way."

God looks at Joshua and tells him, "Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you.." God expects Joshua to take a step of faith and conquer the enemy territory. The Bible says, "Walk by faith and not by sight." Walking in faith means to look beyond the present circumstances, to look beyond the present sufferings, failure, discouragements and darkness. It is to walk holding on to the pleasant promises of God which would surely come to pass. Right now, many of your steps are staggering, unsteady, you have given up hopes and you have no strength to walk steadily. Let this message pick you up and draw you by the collar to trust God and walk briskly. Will you?

When I think back of my walk with God, it surely has been a long walk. I dreamt that the moment I resigned my job, I would have doors opened for me and I would instantly get busy. It never works that way. In fact, it happened the other way around, all doors were closed. I had a fire in my heart to serve the Lord, but I did not know how! I started praying and walking inside my prayer room, days turned to months, months turned to years, but I faithfully kept walking everyday. Now and then, God would open a door like an oasis in a dessert, but I knew the real break-through is yet to come. God did prove to be faithful in my life and before He could build my ministry, He taught me to walk faithfully. Sometimes, it is truly exasperating and frustrating when nothing seems to move; yet today I suggest that you just walk with God. Wake up in the morning and spend quiet times with the Lord, read the Word even if you don't feel like it and trust Him even if the situation is grim and gloomy. Remember just one thing, He can change your circumstances! I was ministering to a hindu lady who was shattered because her husband had an affair with another lady. I just advised her to walk faithfully trusting Jesus to do a miracle. As I was leading her to Christ, the situation started getting bad instead of improving but I asked her to focus just on Jesus. She would read the Bible in her office, pray as often as she could because she was unable to worship Jesus openly. She attended meetings even though she did not understand the sermon, but God was watching her sincere walk with Him. Praise God! Allow God to work in your life, instead of you holding the reigns.

Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 4:1 "Finally brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God."
