TODAY'S SCRIPTURE |
“That day the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they revered him all the days of his life...” |
(Joshua 4:14, NIV) |
TODAY’S WORD |
I love the promise that God gave to
Joshua. He said, “Joshua, today I will begin to make you great in the
eyes of all the Israelites.” He was saying, “Today, I’m going to start
releasing more of My favor, My blessings, My increase.” But notice,
there was a specific time in his life that God began to release favor in
a new way.
Friend,
I believe God wants to do the same thing for you. He wants to release
His blessing and favor in such a way that it makes you great — a great
parent, a great spouse, a great leader, a great employee, a great
friend, a great business person. He is saying to us what He said to
Joshua, “This day I’m going to begin to make your name great. This day
I’m going to begin to release My favor in a new way. I’m going to open
doors that no man can shut.” It is a set time of God’s favor. Get ready!
Make room in your thinking. Stay open to Him and keep an attitude of
faith and expectancy because the time of God’s favor is here!

Before Creation
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE |
“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world...” |
(Ephesians 1:4, NIV) |
TODAY’S WORD |
Did
you know that God chose you before the foundations of the earth? Before
the worlds were ever formed, He knew you. And, He didn’t create you to
be average. He didn’t create you to barely get by. No, He created you to
excel! Not only has He chosen you, but He has equipped you with
everything you need to live and thrive in this life. He has deposited
seeds of greatness inside every person. But in order to tap into those
seeds of greatness, you have to believe this and act on it.
Too
many people today are going around with low self-esteem, feeling
inferior like they don’t have what it takes. But that is living a lie.
And as long as we have a poor self-image, we’re not going to experience
God’s best. In order to be all that God has called us to be, we have to
see ourselves as chosen, valuable and victorious.
Today,
meditate on this truth. Let it sink down deep into your heart. Let it
build confidence and security in you. As you understand your value in
the eyes of God, you’ll be empowered to live the life of victory He has
prepared for you!
|
A PRAYER FOR TODAY |
Father God, thank You for choosing me. Thank You for equipping me. Help me to see myself the way You see me. Show me Your ways that I may walk with You in confidence and trust all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen. |

Dwell in Safety and Trust
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE“In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for You, Lord, alone make me dwell in safety and confident trust”(Psalm 4:8, AMP)TODAY’S WORD
All throughout scripture, God has promised to be your Protector, Defender, your Strength, your Shelter and so much more. Even when the storms of life come against you, as long as you are dwelling in Him, you dwell in safety and trust — nothing can take away your peace and joy. What does it mean to dwell in Him? One of the definitions of the word “dwell” means to keep your attention directed toward something. The more you keep your attention directed toward God, the more you will know Him, and the more confidence you will have in Him. When you focus your heart and mind on the Word of God and declare His promises over your life, you are dwelling in Him. When you lift your voice in worship and give Him glory and honor, you are dwelling in Him. When you spend time meditating on Him and connecting with Him through prayer, you are dwelling in Him.
Are you facing a difficult situation? Give your attention to the Father. Do you need His peace and protection? Focus your heart and mind on Him. As you dwell on Him, you will see His goodness, and you’ll live in peace and victory all the days of your life!
A PRAYER FOR TODAYFather in heaven, thank You for Your promise of peace and safety in my life. I choose to give my attention to You. Have Your way in me and let everything I do bring glory to You in Jesus’ name. Amen.Tuesday, July 10, 2012
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE“Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing”(James 1:3–4, NKJV)TODAY’S WORD
God wants you to be perfect and complete, living in His abundance and lacking nothing on this earth. That may seem like a stretch from where you are today. It may seem far off; but in an instant, things can turn around. God has set up a system of blessing for you, and it starts with His Word. The Bible says that God has given each of us a measure of faith. We all have faith, and it’s up to us to develop it. Romans 10:17 says that faith grows as we read and study His Word. Faith, in turn, produces patience, and when we allow patience to have its perfect work in us, we will lack no good thing.
Today, no matter where you are in the process, the key is to keep moving forward by reading and hearing His Word. His Word is alive. His Word will heal your heart and restore your soul. His Word will produce patience in your life so that you can move forward, being complete and lacking nothing all the days of your life!
A PRAYER FOR TODAYFather God, thank You for Your Word which lights my path and directs my way. I choose to put You first place. I choose to meditate on Your Word, knowing that You are leading me in Your paths of life in Jesus’ name. Amen!

He Will Complete It
He Will Complete It |
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE |
“And David said to his son Solomon, ‘Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God — my God — will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD’ ” |
(1 Chronicles 28:20, NKJV) |
TODAY’S WORD |
Is there something you’ve been believing for, something you’ve been hoping for that’s taking longer than you expected? You might be tempted to just accept things the way they are. You might be tempted to think it’s never going to happen. If that’s you today, be encouraged because God is a finisher! He will complete what He’s started in you!
Your part is to believe. Your part is to keep your eyes on Him. When you believe, you have the Creator of the universe fighting your battles, arranging things in your favor, going before you, moving the wrong people out of the way. Don’t be intimidated by the size of a problem or the size of your dream! Don’t let circumstances convince you to stop believing. “Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our Provider, is still on the throne. One touch of God’s favor and you’ll go from barely getting by to having more than enough! Begin to thank Him and declare that God is at work. Declare that He is perfecting what concerns you. Declare that He will complete everything He’s started in your life!
|
A PRAYER FOR TODAY |
Father God, I thank You for completing every good work that You have started in my life. I choose to believe Your Word, even when things look impossible. I choose to believe that You are working behind the scenes and that You will bring victory and breakthrough to every area of my life in Jesus’ name! Amen. |

Never Seen Before!
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE |
“Then the LORD said: ‘I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the LORD, will do for you’ ” |
(Exodus 34:10, NIV) |
TODAY’S WORD |
Friend, if you’re going to reach your highest potential in the natural, you will need to have supernatural doors open for you that you cannot open on your own. You’re going to need promotion, good breaks, divine connections and God’s favor greater than what you’ve seen in the past.
God said in Exodus, “I will perform great wonders that I have not done anywhere before in all the world. People will see what great things I can do because of the awesome things I’m about to do for you.” Think about that for a moment and let it take root in your spirit. God is saying, “I’m going to do something awesome in your life.” “Awesome” means “astounding, remarkable, overwhelming, breathtaking.” The key is found in the very next verse; it says, “Obey what I have commanded.” God’s ready to do His part, and we have to do ours. When we do things God’s way, we get God’s results. When we follow His Word, He promises to bless us with life, health, peace and joy. He promises to do what has never been done before!
|
A PRAYER FOR TODAY |
Father, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. I trust that You are opening doors for me that no man can shut. I choose to obey Your commands and walk in love as I wait on Your marvelous plan to unfold in Jesus’ name. Amen. |

God Still Performs Miracles
John 11:40
Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
God, who parted the Red Sea, rained manna from heaven, caused the walls of Jericho to fall, shut the lions’ mouths, healed the sick, raised the dead and calmed the sea, still performs miracles today. |
However, some Christians doubt that God wants to work a miracle for them today. They believe that there were miracles when Jesus walked the earth, but they think that the day of miracles is over. And they talk about how everything will be perfect one day in the sweet by and by. But God wants us to know that He is still the God of miracles today. |
Martha was like one of those Christians. She wondered if Jesus could perform a miracle when her brother Lazarus died. By the time Jesus arrived on the scene, Lazarus had already been dead for four days. So she thought that Jesus was four days too late. That is why she said, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.” (John 11:21) And even when Jesus said that Lazarus would rise again, she said, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” (John 11:24) |
Martha believed that Jesus could perform miracles in the past and would do the same in the future, but she did not believe that He could give her a miracle when she needed it right then. |
Today, God stands at the point of your need. What miracle do you need from Him? Believe that He is still the same miracle-working God today. Believe that you will see the glory of God. Believe and you will see your miracle! |
