Sand and Stone

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME ON THE FACE."
They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one, who had been slapped, got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After the friend recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE."
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?"
The other friend replied: "When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.Like wise when Jesus helped you at times of your trouble,do not forget Him ,allow and aspect Him as your personal saviour.

God will answer your cry......

Once there was a man, who goes to the doctor due to some problem. He tells the doctor that, his wife is acting being deaf these days, i.e. no matter what this man says she is not replying to any of the things. The doctor says, "I do not have a treatment right now for this problem, I can suggest you something through which you can know her level of deafness then we can start treatment." The doctor says, go home and try calling your wife from 30 feet far and then go little closer and then call her again and go little further and repeat the same. Do this in order to know her level of deafness. The man says, "Ok doctor I will try this out" and left that place. The man goes home. He tells his wife, "Honey what's for dinner?" He does not get any reply. He goes little further and asks the same question. He does this ten times; he was almost near to her. Then for the 10th time she answers him saying, "How many times should I reply saying that today is the special dinner for you." Wow that’s sounds so different, That means it was not his wife who was deaf but he himself. Friends, it is same with Our God. We think that we ask him so many things in prayer many times and Lord is not answering us. But it is the other way around. He always listens to our cry and answers our prayer as our Lord is gracious and merciful but we never realize them. He may give answers to our prayers to us but in different ways. Because he says, my thoughts are not your thoughts and my ways are not your ways. "O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as He hears, He will answer you." Isaiah 30:19

Doing a Good Job

They tell the following story about the famous Polish pianist Paderewski. A mother had a little boy who was learning to play the piano. In order to encourage him she took him to a concert by the famous Paderewski. Both of them arrived at the music hall a bit early and soon the mother got into a conversation with one of her lady friends. Meanwhile, the little boy wandered off....When it was eight o'clock, the spotlights came on and the stage curtain opened. And there was that little boy seated at the piano innocently playing that children's song, "Twinkle, twinkle, little star." Paderewski came on stage and quickly moved over to the piano. "Don't quit. Just keep on playing," he whispered to the little boy. Then he leaned over the boy and put his hands onto the keyboard right alongside the little boy's. The little boy kept repeating and repeating "Twinkle, twinkle, little star" and meanwhile the genius was weaving all kinds of new melodies around it, a different one each time. The crowd was thrilled by this unpreparedconcert.

As we play our little melody in our daily life, God whispers to us, "Don't quit, Keep on playing..." And He makes a masterpiece out of our simple music.

STRESS TO SUCCESS

“For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.”

I Corinthians 16:9

Adversity is breeding ground for miracles! Adversity is to be expected in the life of a Christian, but how we handle that adversity will determine its effect in our lives. Opposition and adversity may be common, but they are by no means to be accepted or submitted to by the believer, because God has made us “more than conquerors through Christ . . .” Adversities will always come when you confess Jesus as your Savior and Lord. You will be mocked and ridiculed. It may not be blatant, but perhaps subtle -- with jokes, comments, and innuendos.

You may face mental opposition! Satan will speak to your mind to get you off-track. You must re-program your mind to think as God thinks. You may have to battle doubt and fear. You may have emotional opposition. Your feelings may get hurt. Satan will try to seed such emotions as hate, greed, fear, or pride into your heart. You do not walk by your emotions, but by faith -- in God. You may face physical opposition. Satan will tell you sickness is because of sin in your life. He will say it is for the glory of God, to keep you humble, or to see if you have faith to be healed. However, I Corinthians 15:57 says, “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Adversity must be overcome! Opposition must be defeated. We are to put on the mind of Christ and be renewed in our minds. We must allow Holy Spirit to develop the fruit of the Spirit in us. We must trust God’s Word concerning our healing. Apostle Paul told us in Colossians 2:15, “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” (NKJV)

God always gives opportunities to go forward in life! Anytime you take a step forward, the enemy will try to bring opposition and adversity against you. Nevertheless, God promises you can overcome any opposition the enemy brings your way. So step out in faith, take your stand, and do not back off from what God has tapped you to do in His kingdom. You will defeat your opposition, and become the winner God has called you to be.

WISDOM WORD: “Love is a fabric which never fades, no matter how often it is washed in the water of adversity and grief.”

TODAY’S PRAYER: “Father help me as I take my stand to grow strong in my faith. Help me to be available when the door of opportunity opens for me, In Jesus' name, Amen!”

The Father and His Sons

A father had a family of sons who were perpetually quarreling among themselves. When he failed to heal their disputes by his exhortations, he determined to give them a practical illustration of the evils of disunion.

One day he told his sons to bring him a bundle of sticks. When they had done so, he placed the faggot into the hands of each of them in succession, and ordered them to break it in pieces. They tried with all their strength, and were not able to do it.

He next opened the faggot, took the sticks separately, one by one, and again put them into his sons' hands, upon which they broke them easily. He then addressed them in these words:

"My sons, if you are of one mind, and unite to assist each other, you will be as strong as this faggot, uninjured by all the attempts of your enemies; but if you are divided among yourselves, you will be broken as easily as these sticks."

Yes dear friends,if we are united with our father Christ,Satan can not destroy us easily. So never we separate our self from Jesus Christ.

Think are you united with Christ? If your answer is YES,Praise lord .

If not yet, this is the time to accept Jesus as saviour and unite with HIM

A Candle

One evening a man took a small candle from a box and began to climb a long winding stairway. "Where are we going?" asked the candle. "We're going up higher than a house to show the ships the way to the harbor." "But no ship in the harbor could ever see my light," the candle said. "It is so very small." "If your light is small," the man said "just keep on burning brightly and leave the rest to me." When they reached the top of the long stairs, they came to a large lamp. Then he took the little candle and lit the lamp. Soon the large polished mirrors behind the lamp sent beams of fight out across the miles of sea.

We are God's candle. Our job is to keep on shining. The success of our work is in His hands. A tiny candle or match can start a forest fire. The little flame of your good example can actually change the lives of others without you knowing it. Be a light to them like the beacon light in the story which guided the ships to safe harbor.

Faith in God

Smitty was a hard-headed farmer. When a flood hit the area, he climbed onto the roof of his house. A rescue boat came along but Smitty told them, "No, thanks. I have faith in the Lord. He will save me. The waves got even higher and Smitty had to go to the very top of the roof. Another boat came by to save him, but he still insisted that the Lord would save him. Then the water began to get his feet wet and a helicopter swooped down to take him away. But Smitty still depended on the Lord to save him. Well, you can easily imagine what happened. Yes. Smitty was drowned. When he stood before the Lord in the next world, he complained, "Lord, I had such faith in you. Why didn't you save me?" To which the Lord replied, "What more do you want me to do? I sent you two boats and a helicopter."

Saint James puts it this way in the Scripture: "It is by his actions that a man is put right with God, and not by his faith alone" (James 2: 24

BROKEN, BUT NOT DESTROYED

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all”

Psalm 34:19

Life just is not fair, sometimes! At every corner and crossroads there are dangers, disappointments, troubles, trials, sicknesses, and even death awaiting many. We seem to be going along doing just fine, when everything suddenly changes. One minute we are enjoying life to the fullest, and the next minute we are trampled by a stampede of a thousand problems trying to crush us and threatening to destroy us at any moment. Everyone goes through seasons of difficulties and challenges in life. One of the enemy’s traps is to isolate us and convince us that we will not make it. Another is, he will tell us no one else really cares about us, and now we are all alone.

However, I have Good News! God promises He will deliver the righteous out of all of their afflictions. God will take the broken pieces of a shattered-life and turn them into a vessel of honor for His kingdom. Nevertheless, He does want all the pieces! I do not think anyone can say they have never felt, at some point in their life, the crushing weight of the world upon their shoulders.

I wish I could tell you that you will never face any more of life’s storms! In addition, from the moment you receive Jesus into your heart, your life will be nothing but smooth sailing. Then, one day, you will just simply sail into the sunset on a tranquil sea in this life and right into Heaven’s harbor without pain, suffering, worry, fear, or doubt. I wish I could tell you that, but I cannot!

I can tell you this! Even though the storms will surely come, there is still reason to rejoice. In the midst of the storm, your heart can be made to sing for joy. In the midst of trouble, you can sleep in perfect peace. In the midst of trials, you can lift up your head in hope. In the midst of suffering, you can rest in confidence that everything is going to be all right. How can that be? What power can give that kind of peace, joy, confidence, and hope? There is only one source for that kind of power. It is found in serving Jesus Christ and allowing Him to be the captain of your soul, guiding you through life’s stormy seas.

WISDOM WORD: “We are like tea bags; we don't know our own strength until we're in hot water.” ~
Sister Busche.

TODAY’S PRAYER: “Father, I trust You in these troubled waters of my life. I know You will bring me victory, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Forgiveness of Sins

A missionary on one of the islands was sitting in his cool seaside hut one day when one of the village women came in, carrying a handful of dripping sand she had just picked up off the beach. "Do you know what this is?" she asked. "It looks like sand," said the missionary. "Do you know why I brought it here?" she asked. "No. I can't imagine why," the padre answered. "Well, these are my sins," the women explained. "My sins are as countless as the sands of the sea. How can I ever obtain forgiveness for all of them.?" "You got that sand down by the shore, didn't you?" said the missionary. "Well, take it back there, and pile it up into a heaping mound of sand at the water's edge. Then you sit back and watch the tide come in and slowly wash away the pile altogether. That is how God's forgiveness works."...

In Isaiah 1:18 God says to the people: "Now, let's settle this matter. You are stained red with sin, but I will wash you as clean as snow. Although your stains are deep red, you will be as white as wool

Bible For Illiterates

Four clergymen were discussing the merits of the various translations of the Bible. On liked the King James version because of its simple, beautifullanguage. Another liked the American Standard version best because it comes closer to the original Hebrew and Greed. The third liked Moffatt's translation best because of its up-to-date words. The fourth clergyman was silent. When asked to express his opinion, he replied: "I like my mother's translation best."

The other three expressed surprise and wanted to know what he meant. "Well," he explained, "my mother translated the Bible into her everyday life, and it was the most convincing translation I ever saw."

Today how many are translating bible in our everyday action. Are among one?

We are small children to GOD

Ronit Subramanian was seven years old.he favourite toy is pepper doggy where he will not sleep on the bed with out his doggy toy. Ronit  was the tallest student in his class. It made him feel very proud. Ronit always thinks that now AM a big boy.

Last week his mother’s old school friend had come to see her. They were meeting after 10 years. Ronit was just back from school but his ears pricked up when he heard his mother say in that goofy tone, “You know what my Ronit used to do as a baby? He used to think everything and everyone was a part of the Subramanian family. So he would call the refrigerator ‘frig Subramanian. And he would call the doggy that curled up on our doormat outside ‘doggy Subramanian’”. Ronit heard his mother’s friend say, “cho chweeeet” and he ran out of the house – without any lunch. “I wish mother would not do these things,” he said for the thousandth time.

That evening his mother showed him the toys and games her friend had got for him. One stuffed dolphin and a game of blocks. Ronit got angry. “These are kids toys, kids toys and games. I am a big boy now. My hero is Spider man. That’s the toy I want for my birthday this year.
“Are you saying you no longer want your favourite stuffed toy – pepper the doggy?” Ronit’s mother asked. “I don’t want kids toys, I don’t want kids toys and games any more. I am a BIG BOY,” Ronit shouted. ‘Okay, okay, we heard you,” said his parents.
A month later, Ronit’s parents bought him a Spider man kit for his eighth birthday. They bought him a Spider man T-shirt and trousers, a shiny Spider man toy and a glove  . There was even a Spider man cake.
After his friends left, Ronit opened up each gift package. Yesssss! He was a big boy now. He had got so many presents of toys and games and they were all for big boys. . Ronit went to sleep clutching the Spider man.
As soon as his head hit the pillow Ronit fell asleep. He  slept in a room of his own.. But until yesterday, he had gone to sleep clutching Pepper doggy’s ear. The softness of the toy always made him happy. But Spider man was a metal toy which is poking him continuously .Ronit unable to sleep properly. On that night he waked up and looked around what's making him from sleep's night, then he realised its a spider man toy and made him to remember happy sleep with a pepper doggy toy. Immediately ronit thrown away spider man toy and bought back his old favourite doggy toy and got back to sleep.
We always thinks that we are grown up and ignores the old gifts which are given by OUR LORD.When the actual day comes to realize what are present gifts we achieved by our own knowledge,God given gifts are much much better then our own achieved gifts. At least now start thinking ARE YOU IGNORING  OLD GIFTS GIVEN BY LORD?

GOD IS BIGGER

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”

Ephesians 3:20 NKJV

God is not confined to the limits of our imagination! God is not defined or limited to boundaries, limits, and parameters. God promises to move in ways greater than our imaginations. What a promise! The Law of Expectations says we get what we expect out of life. We tend to see what we expect to see. We tend to feel what we expect to feel. We tend to act the way we expect to act, and, we tend to achieve what we expect to achieve. Our expectations influence our happiness, our health, and our expectations influence our relationships.

There are two approaches to life, and you make the choice! You can choose to live by fear, or you can choose to live by faith. You can be an optimist, or you can be a pessimist. By faith, or by fear, which is it? When you expect the best, you are honoring God. And your ability is increased, when you are expecting the best. Athletes know that the winning-edge is attitude, not just ability.

How do you stay optimistic when everyone else is going the other way? 1.) Start your day in faith, not the morning news. 2.) Everything around you may not be good, but look for the good in your situation. 3.) Give your circumstance over to God. 4.) Stop the negative words coming out of your mouth. 5.) Keep positive people around you. 6.) Keep your eyes on a bright future.

If we are going to soar into the future on eagle’s wings and build winning lives, we must have strong and deep roots! Too many people have their roots grounded in their culture, family trees, education, traditions, and a host of other human trappings, when God requires us to be grounded and rooted in Him. God is our priority! God is bigger than any of the circumstances in our lives!

WISDOM WORD: “If you don’t see it before you see it, you will never see it!” ~ Johnny Hunt

TODAY’S PRAYER: “Father, deliver me from my own thinking; set me free from family traditions that I may soar to the peaks You have for me, In Jesus’ Name, Amen!”

Prime the pump………….

There’s a story about a traveler who hiked for many miles across the desert. His water supply was gone, and he knew that if he didn’t find water soon, he would surely die. In the distance he noticed an abandoned cabin, he discovered an old well. Then he noticed a tin can tied to the pump, with a note inside. The note said: Dear Stranger: This water pump is in working condition, but the pump needs to be primed in order for the water to come out. Under the white rock, I buried a jar of water, out of the sun. There’s enough water in the jar to prime the pump, When you are finished, please fill the jar and put it back as you found it for the next stranger who comes this way. Just like the hiker, sometimes you have to be willing to pour in everything you have before you can see God’s increase flowing in your life. You have to be willing to trust that you can tap into his deep, abundant supply of resources. Give God what you have in your hands today, as you stay faithful to do your part, God will do his part. It takes faith and courage to “prime the pump,” but remember, God has already given you what you need to take the first step. God wants to bring out talents you didn’t even know you had. You have so much untapped talent and potential on the inside. But those treasures will lie dominant for a lifetime – just like the water in that well – unless you are willing to take what you have and prime the pump. You never know what door God will open for you as you begin to use what you have.

ONE MORE NIGHT WITH THE FROGS

“Tomorrow”

Exodus 8:10

Why would anyone want to stay in the same old condition? You do not have to spend another night with the frogs in your life! One of the biggest conflicts people have with themselves is procrastination. Procrastination means, “to put off intentionally.” Procrastination literally is a thief of time. Because of procrastination, people have missed an abundance of things that, if they had not put them off, would have worked out differently. Procrastination caused them to miss it!

In the Book of Exodus, we read about the Israelites being in slavery and bondage in Egypt, a place never designed for God’s people! Moses was sent by God to Egypt to obtain their release, but Pharaoh hardened his heart and would not let them go. Plagues were sent into the land, including a plague of frogs. Frogs everywhere! Frogs in the bathrooms, clothes, socks, shoes, underwear, dishes, sinks, beds, squishing under their toes, live croaking, dead stinking frogs -- everywhere! Pharaoh was sick of frogs, and he demanded Moses get them out of his house and his country. Moses said, “Let God’s people go.” Pharaoh’s response to the frog problem was much like ours, when it comes to sin in our lives. “Tomorrow!” They can go tomorrow. Now, why would we want to put up with frogs -- one more night?

Pharaoh was much like us! We wish for some miraculous intervention, because we cannot remove the plagues in our lives. So, we become content with them. We are content to be wading in the frogs of sin and disobedience to God. It appears living with frogs is better than living with God. We put off lots of things until tomorrow, diets, exercise, reading our Bible, prayer, devotion, family time, church attendance, etc. We have put them off for so long, that it almost seems that we are content in our meager existences. People come to a place where they just do not need or want a better life, or even a better relationship with God.

Are you tired of the frogs in your life? Today is the day to make it right. Today is the day to completely commit to God. Today is the day to “lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us.” Today is the day of salvation -- no more nights with the frogs!

WISDOM WORD: “Sin is not hurtful because it is forbidden; it is forbidden because it is hurtful.” ~ Benjamin Franklin

TODAY’S PRAYER: “Father, show me how to be delivered from the plagues in my life, and set me free from the frogs of sin and disobedience, In Jesus' Name, Amen.”

Perfect Pot & Poor Cracked Pot

A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the master's house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his master's house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do. After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you." "Why?" asked the bearer. "What are you ashamed of?" "I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your master's house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don't get full value from your efforts," the pot said. The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion he said, "As we return to the master's house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path." Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered it some. But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again it apologized to the bearer for its failure. The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of your path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you've watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my master's table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house." Each of us has our own unique flaws. We are all cracked pots. But if we will allow it, the Lord will use our flaws to grace His Father's table. In God's great economy, nothing goes to waste. So as we seek ways to minister together, and as God calls you to the tasks He has appointed for you, don't be afraid of your flaws. Acknowledge them, and allow Him to take advantage of them, and you, too, can be the cause of beauty in His pathway. Out boldly, know that in our weakness we find His strength, and that "In Him every one of God's promises is a Yes".

Promise for the Day: But now, O LORD, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand. Isaiah 64:8 (NKJV)

Do We Love ...?

A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam. He called his parents from San Francisco. "Mom and Dad, I'm coming home, but I've a favor to ask. I have a friend I'd like to bring home with me." "Sure," they replied, "we'd love to meet him." "There's something you should know," the son continued, "he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mind and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come live with us." "I'm sorry to hear that, son. Maybe we can help him find somewhere to live." "No, Mom and Dad, I want him to live with us." "Son," said the father, "you don't know what you're asking. Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live, and we can't let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He'll find a way to live on his own." At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were told. The police believed it was suicide. The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they also discovered something they didn't know, their son had only one arm and one leg. The parents in this story are like many of us. We find it easy to love those who are good-looking or fun to have around, but we don't like people who inconvenience us or make us feel uncomfortable. We would rather stay away from people who aren't as healthy, beautiful, or smart as we are. Please share the love of God with every one you find on your way…

Promise for the Day: There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear… 1 John 4:18 (New King James Version)

Grace of god

Mathew 7:27 ".and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."

There is tight security at Arthur road jail. Both the special court and the cell of Ajmal Kasab, the lone Pakistani gunman captured during the attacks, are inside the high-security prison. Since the trial began about a year ago, Kasab has been lodged in a bullet and bomb proof cell. The cell is connected to the court by a tunnel which no bullet or bomb splinters can penetrate. The Pakistani gunman is guarded by a 200-strong contingent of police. Imagine! So much of 'circus' for a young man who has already killed many people, including Assistant police inspector Tukaram Ombale, maimed many with his bullets and created havoc in the city which rocked the world; the aftermath of the blood and gore is still sizzling. The battered five-star hotel has been put back to shape and the show goes on- but we need to necessarily pause to ponder! If only the Indian Government had protected the coastal borders, such catastrophes could have been avoided! Precious lives could have been saved! A eleven year old girl lost her leg in the melee, could we bring back the lost lives? Think!

Friends! Listen! We have a learning here! Not only the government, even we wake up only after thunder and lightening strikes our roof. Don't we? Hey, why did my loved ones die at such a young age? Why has my family been destroyed? Why did I lose my job? Where did I go wrong in my marriage? Why is there so much of darkness in my life? We often cry over spilt milk! Why don't we take precautions and be utterly careful in our decisions instead of randomly running our life and then ruining it? People avoid church, ignore the Word of God and His commandments, never step into a fasting prayer meeting, never care about His ministry and then when the roof caves in, they wonder why! Alas, the monstrosity is never evident until calamity strikes our life! Let this message ring a warning bell to everybody who is reading this message! Those who party, mock Jesus, mint money and have a ball would surely face the wrath of God!

In the above scripture Jesus speaks about building our life on Him, that is on the Rock. Christians are generally familiar with this scripture and sometimes we take the Words of the Master for granted. Observe, Jesus says, 'great would be the fall!' Oh yeah, great would be the fall, if you ignore Jesus!

If you have been living your life recklessly without God in your life, I recommend you to search your life and surrender yourself to Jesus. Today is the day! If you are a Christian but never lived a disciplined life, it is time you take a decision too, before the rod comes on your back. Beware! Put away lies, cheating and stealing away from your life. Put away empty chatter and clatter away from your life and start investing in spiritual growth. Friends, let us confront our weaknesses today, a head-on collision with 'whatever' has been hindering our progress all these years, acknowledge it and overcome it.

Bill Paid In Full with Glass of Milk…………

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water. She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?" "You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness." He said.. "Then I thank you from my heart." As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit. Years later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room. Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case. After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked at it, and then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill. She read these words. "Paid in full with one glass of milk" (Signed) Howard Kelly Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed:Thank You, God, that Your love has spread abroad through human hearts and hands."

The 57 Cents That Made History

Friends this is a true story, this story made me to cry and increased my burden to take the love of Jesus to the ends. A little girl sobbing stood near a small church. She was sobbing because she was been turned away from the church as the church was too small to accommodate many. "I can't go to Sunday School," she sobbed to the pastor as he walked by. Seeing her shabby, unkempt appearance, the pastor guessed the reason and, taking her by the hand, took her inside and found a place for her in the Sunday School class. The child was so touched that she went to bed that night thinking of the children who have no place to worship Jesus. Some two years later, this child lay dead in one of the poor apartment building and the parents called for the kind-hearted pastor, who had befriended their daughter, to handle the final arrangements. As her poor little body was being moved, a worn and crumpled purse was found from some trash dump. Inside was found 57 cents and a note scribble in childish handwriting which read, "This is to help build the little church bigger so more children can go to Sunday school." For two years she had saved for this offering of love. When the pastor tearfully read that note, he knew instantly what he would do. Carrying this note and the cracked, red pocketbook the pulpit, he told the story of her unselfish love and devotion. He challenged his deacons to get busy and raise enough money for the larger building. But the story does not end there! A newspaper learned of the story and published it. It was read by a realtor who offered them a parcel of land worth many thousands. When told that the church could not pay so much, he offered it for a 57 cent payment. Church members made large subscriptions. Checks came from everywhere. Within five years the little girl's gift had increased to $250,000.00 - a huge sum for that time (near the turn of the century).

Her unselfish love had paid large dividends; when you are in the city of Philadelphia- PA. Look up Temple Baptist Church, with a seating capacity of 3,300, and Temple University, where hundreds of students are trained. Have a look, too, at the Good Samaritan Hospital and at a Sunday school building which houses hundreds of Sunday scholars, so that no child in the area will ever need to be left outside at Sunday school time. In one of the rooms of this building may be seen the picture of the sweet face of the little girl whose 57 cents, so sacrificially saved, made such remarkable history. Alongside of it is a portrait of her kind Pastor, Dr. Russell H. Conwell, author of the book, "Acres of Diamonds." This is a true story, which goes to show WHAT GOD CAN DO WITH 57 CENTS.

Promise for the Day: So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless. 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NLT)

Make Prayer a Habit

ROMANS 12:12
Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer.

Prayer is a habit that, like every other good habit, must be developed.

You know you need to pray. You need God's help, His wisdom and His guidance. But you must persevere in prayer. The activities of life try to keep you from praying. So persevere!

LUKE 21:36

But keep watch at all times with prayer, that you may be strong enough to come through all these things and take your place before the Son of man.

In communing with God, you gain strength that comes in no other way. You find the wisdom and courage to face life and overcome.

1 THESSALONIANS 5:17-18
Never stop praying. Give thanks whatever happens. That is what God wants for you in Christ Jesus.

Learn to always include God in your thoughts. Ask Him about everything. Cultivate your relationship by continual communication. And one of the most important things for you to communicate to God is your gratitude. Thank God for everything.

Don't relegate prayer to just when you're on your knees.
As you go about your activities, include God by constant communion with Him.

Talk to God about everything!

GIFT OF LOVE

Once, a small girl came to a jeweler’s shop. She pointed to a fine necklace that was on display and said that she wanted to buy it. The jeweler asked whether she had the money to pay for it. “Yes, I have,” she said, laying a packet of small coins on his table. He noticed that it amounted to only about 57 dollars whereas the necklace was valued at three thousand dollars. Out of curiosity, he asked her why she wanted the necklace. She told him that she wanted to give it as a birthday gift to her loving sister. Her sister was taking care of her after the death of their parents. The coins were from her piggy bank, her collection since Christmas. He was deeply moved by the admirable affection of the innocent child. He readily packed the necklace and gave it to her in exchange for her coins. She jumped with joy and ran home. She presented the gift to her sister. The elder sister assumed that the girl had stolen the necklace and scolded her. She dragged the girl to the shop and asked whether the article was stolen from there. The jeweler told her that he had sold it to the girl and that she had made full payment for it.After kowing the truth ,her sister was so proud of little girl and in return she huged her .
Friend, the little girl wanted to show her love by gifting a necklace to her sister who loved and cared for her after their parents death. In these days how many people are loving their Parents,Sisters,Brothers,Father-in-laws,Mother-in-laws and so on .Think of it and if you are alway from loving nature ,Please atleast today come back and love one another .

Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God, Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7 (New Living Translation)

Pain from past 10 yrs

This is a true story that happened in Japan. In order to renovate the house, someone in Japan breaks open the wall. Japanese houses normally have a hollow space between the wooden walls. When tearing down the walls, he found that there was a lizard stuck there because a nail from outside hammered into one of its feet. He sees this, feels pity, and at the same time curious, as when he checked the nail, it was nailed 10 years ago when the house was built. Imagine the lizard has survived in such position for 10 years!!!!!!!!!! In a dark wall partition for 10 years without moving, it is impossible and mind-boggling. Then he wondered how this lizard survived for 10 years! Without moving a single step--since its foot was nailed! So he stopped his work and observed the lizard, what it has been doing and how it has been eating. Later, not knowing from where it came; appears another lizard, with food in its mouth. Ah! He was stunned and touched deeply. For the lizard that was stuck by nail, another lizard has been feeding it for the past 10 years... Imagine? It has been doing that untiringly for 10 long years, without giving up hope on its partner. Friends this story touched me a lot, There are times in life when we wonder why things happen the way they do. We can feel very alone at these times and sometimes even God can seem very far distant. We want instant answers and fix all solutions, and can easily develop the attitude of expecting God to do something "because we deserve better than this". Or like" wave a magic wand and give us what we want". None of us wants pain (I know-I don't), and loneliness or relational pain is the hardest of all to handle. We often don't know why we are left alone by those closest to us or why human love fails, relationships end, or love seems insufficiently there when we need it most.

but one thing I believe is that if we stick to trusting God, and walking a straight path by the little light we may have, though we may seem to be in a dark night and have anguish of soul, that eventually something good will come from it all. It may not turn out the way we expect, or give us the thing that we plead to God for.........it may just be something or someone much better than we could have anticipated. Or perhaps it could be a restoration much more complete than we could have expected. The Lord sees a much bigger picture than we do, and has a much greater plan than us. Happiness keeps you Sweet, Trials keep you Strong, Sorrow keeps you Human, Failure keeps you humble and Success keeps you glowing, but only Faith & Attitude keeps you going.

Promise for the Day: " For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord," plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 (New King James Version)

Hospital Windows .

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation. And every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window. The man in the other bed began to live for those one-hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside. The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young ones walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color of the rainbow. Grand old trees graced the landscape, and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance. As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene. One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man couldn't hear the band - he could see it in his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words. Days and weeks passed. One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away. As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone. Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at world outside
Finally, he would have the joy of seeing it for himself. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed. It faced a blank wall. The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window. The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall. She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you."

Promise for the Day: Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4. (NKJV)

You are God's own masterpiece…………

There lived a man in a tiny apartment who died in extreme poverty. At some point in his life, he had even been homeless, living on the streets. This man never had any successes to speak of, nor any noted victories. He lived and died as just another face in the crowd. After the funeral, some family members went to his little run-down apartment to clear out his belongings. They found a painting hanging on the wall, so they decided to sell it at a garage sale. The woman who bought the picture took it to a local art gallery for an appraisal and was shocked to discover that the painting was extremely valuable. The piece of art that hung for so many years in a little run-down apartment had been painted by a famous artist who lived in the early 1800s. The woman decided to auction off that painting and ended up selling it for several million dollars! Just think of how that poor man's life might have changed if he had known the value of what he possessed. He was a multimillionaire and didn't even know it! So many people today are living with priceless treasure inside, and they don't even know it. You are God's own masterpiece, created by the famous artist of all. That means you are not ordinary or average. When God created you, He went to great lengths to make you exactly the way he wanted you. You're not meant to be like everyone else; God designed you the way you are for a purpose. Everything about you is unique and everything about you matters. When you understand your value-not only who you are, but to whom you belong. Realize today that because you are extremely valuable. When you respect yourself you are honoring God. Remember, you are chosen and hand-picked by God.
